We simplify your supply chain by bundling metal products with a broad range of engineering, logistics, and value-added services.\nPosition Overview\nThe CNC Machine Operator role is responsible for producing parts in accordance with supplied drawings and specifications. \nThis is a day shift position, with regular hours from 6:50am-3:10pm Monday through Friday. Overtime may also be available subject to business requirements.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nPerform all machining tasks using milling machine, and may also operate turning equipment\nLoad and unload part onto machine table\nMachine parts to specifications\nMachine individual weldments - drilling and tapping holes and milling on parts\nVerifies conformance of part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as, scales, calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges\nFill out inspection reports as required\nCheck work pieces to ensure they are properly lubricated or cooled\nClean machined parts to ensure ready for assembly\nMaintain machine tools in proper operational condition\nDetect equipment malfunctions and report to supervisor\nParticipation in continuous improvement activities related to the machine and/or machining process\nPerform other tasks as assigned\n\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent required\nMinimum 1 year of experience as CNC Machinist, using milling equipment in particular;\nMachinist Trade Certificate an asset\nERP system experience an asset\nGood working knowledge of tools, blueprints, and drawings\nSet-up and programming are strong assets, but not required\n Must be able to lift up to 30lbs repetitively, comfortably and safely \nSafety conscious individual\nAbility to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently\nKnowledge of production quality standards\nWork experience in an ISO Certified environment an asset\nCompensation\n$22-$27/hour\nParticipation in annual bonus program\nBenefits (health, dental, drug coverage, massage, physio, chiropractor, life insurance, long term disability)\nRRSP with employer match\n\nVacancy Type\nThis position is a current vacancy.\n\nAI DisclosureEQI Canada does not use AI for screening, assessment or selection of candidates.\nAccessibility\nEQI welcomes applications from people with disabilities.
