The successful candidate will analyse business requirements, troubleshoot system issues and deliver reliable, high-quality technical solutions. \nKey Responsibilities \nDevelop, maintain and enhance applications using COBOL.\nWork with mainframe technologies, including JCL, CICS and DB2.\nAnalyse business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\nPerform application maintenance, debugging and troubleshooting.\nInvestigate and resolve production incidents and system defects.\nDevelop and maintain batch processing jobs and online transaction programs.\nPerform unit testing, integration testing and support user acceptance testing.\nSupport database operations, SQL queries and data processing.\nParticipate in code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards.\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation.\nCollaborate with business analysts, project managers, testers and technical teams.\nSupport system enhancements, releases and continuous improvement initiatives.\nMinimum Requirements \nRelevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience.\nProven experience in COBOL development within an IBM Mainframe environment.\nStrong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language).\nExperience with CICS and DB2.\nExperience in application maintenance, debugging and production support.\nUnderstanding of batch processing and online
