Through Supported Growth, you'll have opportunities to expand your skills through cross-functional collaboration, development opportunities, and career advancement.\nJoin our Qrew! \nThe Terminal Junior Operator's primary responsibility will be to assist and support Terminal Operations and carry out their duties in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with established practices and procedures. The Operator will be directly responsible to the Lead Operator on their shift. In the absence of the Lead Operator, the Operator will assume the control room duties. During the day shift, the Operator will assist the maintenance department in the performance of its duties.\nThe Terminal Junior Operator responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nMonitor day-to-day operations of the storage tank and piping, refrigeration equipment, truck rack equipment, railcar unloading and related equipment and systems. \nMaintain hourly and daily operating logs.\nAssist with TP Vision Inventory Tracking and Control Program.\nTerminal security in accordance w/ MARSAC and USCG regulations.\nShip unloading. \nAssist with terminal housekeeping and integrity.\nPerform routine maintenance tasks.\nMay perform other general maintenance responsibilities as directed. \nTrain new truck drivers on SEA-3/EQT truck rack loading procedures.\nAssist truck drivers with the operation of the loading skids.\nWorks diligently and follows all safety requirements to prevent injuries, product contamination, spills and avoid product loss.\nOperating main plant and rail plant refrigeration systems.\nAdditional duties as assigned. \nRequired Experience and Skills:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required. \nBasic mathematical ability and understanding is required to successfully perform tank measurements, read gauges, set up product transfers into and out of tanks. This includes the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, etc.\nRequires knowledge of refined product characteristics, measurement and safe handling practices.\nMechanical abilities or experience with operating equipment is a plus.\nExperience operating with modern HMI control systems is a plus.\nCommunicate effectively orally and in writing with co- workers, supervisors, internal and external customers.\nMust be able to take responsibility.\nAbility to understand and perform reasonably complicated written procedures.\nMust be willing and able to work rotating shifts, periodic overtime, and on a call-out basis when needed \nStrong safety ethic is a must.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.\nPreferred Experience and Skills\nVocational training or relevant certifications preferred. \nPrior experience in hazardous material facility operations is preferred.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
