Our projects range from one or two complaint handlers for a few weeks, through to hundreds of experts needed for major complaint management projects.\nRole Summary\nThe Business Intelligence Lead is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting reporting and analytics solutions for both internal stakeholders and external clients.\nWorking closely with clients, project teams, solution architects, and technical teams, the role leads the end-to-end delivery of reporting workstreams, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, user adoption, and continuous improvement.\nThe role combines strong technical expertise with stakeholder management, consultancy, and leadership skills.\nCore Duties/Responsibilities\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nDesign and deliver reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, SQL, Azure, and related technologies.\nDevelop dashboards, KPI frameworks, reporting packs, management information solutions, and client-facing analytics products.\nLead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder workshops, and discovery activities to define reporting needs and business objectives.\nBuild strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams, acting as the reporting subject matter expert throughout project delivery.\nPresent reporting solutions, analytics, and recommendations to senior stakeholders, clients, and project teams.\nTranslate business requirements into scalable reporting, data, and analytics solutions.\nDesign data models, semantic models, reporting architectures, and KPI frameworks to support operational, strategic, and regulatory reporting requirements.\nWork closely with data architects, engineers, and technical teams to define and deliver robust data solutions.\nEnsure the quality, accuracy, reconciliation, and governance of reporting outputs.\nProduce and maintain data dictionaries, KPI catalogues, reporting inventories, solution documentation, and reporting standards.\nSupport the design and delivery of cloud-based reporting solutions using Azure and modern Microsoft data platforms.\nLead reporting workstreams across multiple projects and clients simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery against deadlines and business expectations.\nThe duties and responsibilities outlined above are to be regarded as broad areas of responsibility and do not necessarily detail all tasks which the post holder may be required to perform.\nSkills, Capabilities and Attributes\nThe ideal candidate will have the below skills, capabilities and attributes\nExtensive experience delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions within a commercial environment.\nAdvanced Power BI development, data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design expertise.\nStrong SQL development and data analysis skills.\nExcellent understanding of reporting architecture, data warehousing, and data modelling principles.\nExperience working with Azure data and analytics technologies and modern cloud-based reporting platforms.\nProven ability to quickly learn, assess, and implement new reporting tools and technologies.\nStrong stakeholder management and client-facing consultancy experience.\nExperience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into technical solutions.\nExcellent presentation and communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders and external clients.\nAbility to tell compelling stories with data and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.\nExperience leading reporting workstreams and managing multiple priorities across concurrent projects.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.\nStrong understanding of data governance, data quality, validation, and reporting controls.\nTechnologies\nPower BI, DAX, Power Query, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage Accounts, SQL Server, T-SQL, Python, PowerShell, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Power Platform, SSMS, REST APIs, Dimensional Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT Frameworks and Microsoft 365\nWhat We Offer\nSave For Your Future - Equiniti Pension Plan; Equiniti matches your pension contributions up to 10%\nHealth and Wellbeing - Employee Assistance Programme: counselling, legal & wellbeing support for colleagues and their households.
