Through strong leadership, stakeholder management, and operational oversight, the Campus Operations Manager drives service excellence, continuous improvement, financial stewardship, and long-term operational sustainability.\nCampus Operations & Ownership\nServe as the operational leader and steward of the assigned campus, ensuring alignment between business objectives, customer expectations, and day-to-day operational performance.\nProvide overall campus oversight, integrating Facilities Management Company, Security Operations, Customer Engagement, Vendor Management, and site governance into a cohesive operating model.\nAct as the designated campus representative for cross-functional coordination with internal teams, joint venture partners, landlords, service providers, and customers.\nReal Estate, Lease Management & Campus Governance\nMaintain operational oversight of campus real estate interests, including leased, owned, and hybrid ownership structures.\nManage relationships with tenants, property management organizations, and joint venture partners to ensure compliance with lease obligations, contractual commitments, and shared responsibilities.\nMonitor campus-related agreements, site obligations, easements, property requirements, and governance considerations to protect Equinix's business interests and operational continuity.\nPartner with corporate real estate, legal, finance, and operations teams to support site strategy, lease administration, renewals, and campus expansion initiatives.\nFacilities Management & Vendor Governance\nServe as the primary liaison between Equinix and Facilities Management service providers, ensuring contractual obligations, service levels, and operational standards are consistently achieved.\nDirect and oversee vendor performance, issue resolution, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEstablish accountability mechanisms and performance metrics to ensure vendors deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective services.\nBudget Management\nDevelop, manage, and oversee campus operating and facilities-related budgets.\nAnalyze expenditures, forecast future requirements, identify cost optimization opportunities, and ensure alignment with financial objectives.\nMaintain accountability for budget performance and provide regular reporting and recommendations to leadership.\nCustomer Engagement & Experience\nChampion customer engagement initiatives that enhance the overall customer experience across the campus.\nPartner with internal stakeholders to proactively address customer concerns, improve service delivery, and drive customer satisfaction outcomes.\nAct as the senior point of contact for customer escalations, ensuring timely communication, issue resolution, and effective stakeholder management.\nCustomer & Stakeholder Liaison\nBuild and maintain trusted relationships with customers, serving as the bridge between customer requirements and operational execution.\nFacilitate communication regarding operational activities, service impacts, planned maintenance, capital improvement projects, and campus initiatives.\nRepresent customer interests in operational planning while balancing business objectives, compliance requirements, and risk management considerations.\nRequirements\nProgressive experience in facilities, campus operations, property management, data center operations, corporate real estate, or related operational environments. Typically 8+ years. \nPeople leadership, matrix leadership, or management of outsourced service providers. Typically 3+ years.\nExperience managing large-scale operational budgets and vendor contracts.\nExperience coordinating cross-functional operational activities across multiple stakeholder groups.\nExperience working within leased, owned, or multi-party real estate environments.\nExperience leading operational governance, risk management, and service delivery programs.\nFunctional Requirements\nKnowledge of facilities operations and maintenance programs.\nKnowledge of vendor governance and contract performance management.\nExperience managing customer escalations and stakeholder communications.\nUnderstanding of lease obligations, property agreements, and operational compliance requirements.\nExperience with financial planning, forecasting, budget management, and cost optimization.\nDemonstrated ability to drive operational performance through metrics and reporting.\nEquinix Benefits\nAs an employee, you become important to Equinix’s success.
