This role assists with data quality monitoring, issue investigation, documentation, and the execution of data governance processes. The analyst works closely with senior team members, data stewards, and data owners to ensure data quality standards are followed, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.\nResponsibilities\nData Quality Governance\nPurpose: Support the establishment and maintenance of Data Quality (DQ) rules, standards, and processes to ensure high-quality, trusted data across the organization.\nCreate and Maintain Data Quality Rules and Standards\nHelp update and maintain data quality rules (DQ FRD), metadata, and standards across data domains\nSupport senior analysts in gathering requirements from data owners and stewards\nEnsure Regulatory and Organizational Compliance\nWork with the Data Governance (DG) team and system owners to ensure rules and processes meet internal policies and standards\nHelp validate consistency of DQ rules across Source Systems (SORs)\nHelp monitor and report Data Quality Metrics and Thresholds\nAssist data owners and stewards in defining measurable DQ metrics and thresholds\nHelp document KPIs and maintain metadata repositories\nRecommend and Implement DQ Process Improvements\nParticipate in process reviews and contribute suggestions to streamline Data Quality workflows and improve governance maturity\nSupport Data Cleansing and Enrichment for LTC Migration\nAssist in executing cleansing and enrichment tasks as part of the LTC Account and Contact Data Migration\nPerform data validation, profiling, and documentation activities under guidance\nManage Change Control for DQ Rules and Business Glossary\nAssist in managing version control for DQ rules, definitions, and glossary updates\nDocument changes and ensure proper review and approval processes are followed\nData Quality Monitoring & Reporting\nAssist with running automated data quality checks and reviewing results\nSupport dashboard updates by providing data extracts, validation checks, and documentation\nMonitor DQ rule results and highlight anomalies or trends to senior analysts\nHelp document and track data quality issues, remediation steps, and root-cause insights\nCollaborate with data owners and stewards to gather information needed for issue investigation and resolution\nPrepare initial drafts of DQ reports or summaries for review\nSupport Data quality alignment activities with the GMPO Data Quality team\nLearn and apply data quality best practices through hands-on work and mentorship\nQualifications\nRequired Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field\n1-2 years of experience in Data Quality, Data Analytics, or related work (internships and academic projects acceptable)\nBasic SQL skills and willingness to grow technical proficiency\nFamiliarity with or exposure to data quality concepts, dashboards, or rule-based validations\nAbility to analyze datasets, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly\nStrong attention to detail, documentation skills, and eagerness to learn\nGood communication and collaboration skills\nPreferred Certifications (Nice to Have, Not Required)\nFoundational cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Digital Leader, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)\nIntroductory SQL certifications (e.g., Microsoft DP-900, Google BigQuery SQL)\nEntry-level Data Governance or CDMP Associate certification\nExposure to any data quality tools (Informatica DQ, Talend, Collibra DQ, etc.)\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
