You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you-because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.Job Summary\nWe are seeking a Manager, Physical Security Enablement to lead the successful delivery and integration of physical security programs across new data centre developments, expansions and major customer initiatives throughout Asia-Pacific.\nReporting into the regional leadership team, this role combines program leadership, physical security expertise and stakeholder management to ensure security systems, processes and vendors are aligned throughout the design, construction, installation, commissioning and handover phases of our projects.\nThis is a highly visible regional role supporting construction and expansion projects across Asia, requiring regular travel sites. Candidates who enjoy working in dynamic environments, influencing cross-functional teams and seeing projects come to life from concept through to operational handover will thrive in this position.\nRegular travel throughout Asia should be expected, including visits during design validation, installation, commissioning, operational readiness and handover phases. The successful candidate should enjoy being on-site and working directly with project teams, stakeholders and vendors to drive successful outcomes.\nResponsibilities\nPhysical Security Program Enablement\nLead the deployment and integration of physical security programs across new data centre builds and expansion projects throughout Asia-Pacific\n\nPartner closely with Global Design & Construction (GDC), Data Centre Operations and Security Program teams to ensure security requirements are successfully incorporated into project delivery\n\nSupport security readiness activities during design, construction, installation, commissioning and operational handover\n\nIdentify and mitigate physical security risks throughout the project lifecycle\n\nDrive consistency and standardisation of physical security practices across the region\n\nProject & Stakeholder Leadership\nLead multiple concurrent security enablement initiatives across geographically dispersed locations\n\nPartner with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes\n\nProvide guidance and leadership to regional security teams supporting active project sites\n\nInfluence cross-functional teams to deliver security solutions that support both operational excellence and customer requirements\n\nAct as a key escalation point for security-related incidents, project risks and vendor performance issues\n\nSecurity Systems & Technical Oversight\nProvide leadership and oversight across physical security technologies including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection and associated infrastructure\n\nSupport installation, commissioning, testing and operational acceptance of security systems\n\nManage security vendor relationships responsible for hardware installation, upgrades, maintenance and support\n\nLead SPOF (Single Point of Failure) and End-of-Life (EOL) assessments and remediation initiatives\n\nSupport issue resolution, root cause analysis and vendor escalation for complex technical security challenges\n\nPeople Leadership\nLead and develop a small regional team, and own performance management with direct reports currently based in Singapore\n\nFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement\n\nProvide coaching, mentoring and guidance to security professionals supporting regional programs and projects\n\nQualifications\nDemonstrated experience leading physical security programs, projects or operations within a data centre, mission-critical, hyperscale, telecommunications, infrastructure or high-security environment\n\nExperience supporting large-scale construction, commissioning, fit-out or infrastructure projects\n\nStrong stakeholder management capabilities across engineering, construction, operations and vendor organisations\n\nExperience leading geographically dispersed teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders\n\nStrong understanding of physical security systems and their deployment within operational environments\n\nExperience supporting new builds, expansions and commissioning activities\n\nExperience working with security systems integrators, consultants and technology vendors\n\nUnderstanding of project lifecycle delivery from design through operational handover\n\nExperience working within highly regulated, operationally critical or customer-facing environments\n\nKnowledge of business continuity, security governance and risk management practices\n\nBenefits of the role:\nDirect impact on some of the largest digital infrastructure projects in Asia-Pacific\n\nOpportunity to shape physical security standards across a growing regional portfolio\n\nHigh visibility role with significant stakeholder engagement across Operations, Security, Engineering and Construction teams\n\nLeadership opportunity with regional scope and influence, including APAC travel\n\nSalary package containing company shares, annual bonus and salary reviews\n\nOnsite gyms, access to company wellness, financial and other benefits and initiatives\n\nExposure to industry-leading technology, innovation and mission-critical operations\n\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
