Applies coding, scripting, and AI-driven insights to improve network efficiency, reliability, and scalability, and to reduce manual operational overhead. Requiresstrongunderstanding of network architecture principles and modern infrastructure(data center, cloud, interconnection), along with working fluency in automation and AIOps practices.\nResponsibilities:\nDeployment\nDeploys new hardware (Multi-vendor)inaccordance withdocumented guidelines\n\nManage deployment project life cycle end to end.\n\nPartners with hardware validation teams on qualification of new equipment\n\nSupport the Network platform operations andparticipateinstandby.\n\nParticipates in port, device, and customer migrations,asneeded.\n\nPerforms deployments of network tools and new features, and owns new feature enablement\n\nBuilds and applies automation (Python, scripting) to streamline and standardize deployment processes, reducing manual touchpoints\n\nProduct Development Lifecycle\nProvides feedback as the voice of the customer based on customer queries and trouble tickets\n\nLeverages data analytics and AI tools to surface recurring issues and improvement areas from ticket and query trends\n\nBuilds and applies automated test frameworks and validation scripts to reduce manual test cycles.\n\nManages and sustains deployments post-transition to achieve high customer satisfaction\n\nUses AI-assisted monitoring and predictive analytics to catch degradation before it becomes customer-impacting\n\nService Delivery\nPerforms network service fulfillment (quote-to-cash) for network and data center products.\n\nEnsures successful fulfillment of software-triggered provisioning for interconnection services.\n\nReviewsfulfillment ofmetrics andidentifiesopportunities for automation-driven efficiency gains.\n\nBuilds and implements automation and data-driven optimization for fulfillment processes.\n\nOperations and Reliability Engineering\nTroubleshoots and resolves network faults, both reactive and through proactive detection\n\nPerforms preventive maintenance to minimize incidents\n\nUtilizes AI-based monitoring tools including anomaly detection and predictive alerting\n\nDevelops automation scripts and tooling to accelerate root cause analysis and reduce mean-time-to-resolution (MTTR)\n\nInnovation\nParticipates in internal innovation programs and hackathons\n\nUses lab environments for technical practice and validation\n\nParticipates in chaos engineering drills to test operational resilience\n\nDevelops automation tools (Python, APIs) for chaos testing and resilience engineering\n\nExplores AI/ML use cases for network optimization and incident prediction\n\nUtilizes AI tools tooptimisedthe deployment process lifecycle.\n\nTechnical Skills:\nProgramming and Automation\nPython and scripting (required)\n\nAPI integration for network automation, including REST (required)\n\nInfrastructure as Code (nice to have)\n\nAI and Data\nWorking understanding of AI/ML concepts as applied to network operations, or AIOps (required)\n\nExperience with data analysis, log analysis, and anomaly detection (required)\n\nFamiliarity with AI-driven monitoring tools (preferred)\n\nNetwork Architecture\nStrong understanding of IP networking, including L2/L3, BGP, and routing\n\nStrong understanding of data center architecture and interconnection services\n\nStrong understanding of scalability and redundancy design\n\nKnowledge of modern network architecture including cloud, hybrid, and SDN\n\nQualifications:\n5+ years of experience in Network Operations or Network Engineering\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience\n\nStrong understanding of network architecture and operations\n\nDemonstrated experience in coding and automation applied to real operational tooling, Python preferred\n\nExperience in AI-driven operations (AIOps)required\n\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
