Additionally, leverages AI-driven insights, automation, and coding skills to improve network efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Requires strong understanding of network architecture principles and modern infrastructure (DC, cloud, interconnection).\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDeployment\n\nDeploys new hardware (single-vendor) in accordance with documented guidelines\nEngages with GNA in the validation of new hardware\nConducts NOC training and performs RMA actions\nParticipates in port, device, and customer migrations\nPerforms deployments of network tools and new features\nResponsible for new feature enablement\nApplies automation (Python, scripting) to streamline deployment processes\n\nProduct Development Lifecycle Engagements\n\nRequirement Phase\n\nProvides feedback as the voice of the customer based on customer queries and trouble tickets\nLeverages data analytics and AI tools to identify recurring issues and improvement areas\n\nTest Phase\n\nParticipates in SIT and UAT for new features and network devices\nPerforms comprehensive testing and identifies key customer issues\nApplies automated test frameworks and validation scriptsx\n\nSustaining Phase\n\nTrains and transitions from deployment teams\nManages and sustains deployments to achieve high customer satisfaction\nUses AI-assisted monitoring and predictive analysis to improve stability\n\nService Delivery\n\nPerforms network service fulfillment (quote-to-cash) for network and datacenter products\nEnsures successful fulfillment of software-triggered provisioning (e.g., VCs, RIs)\nReviews metrics and identifies efficiency improvements\nImplements automation and data-driven optimization for fulfillment processes\n\nOperations / Reliability Engineering\n\nTroubleshoots and resolves network faults (both reactive and proactive detection)\nPerforms preventive maintenance to minimize incidents\nUtilizes AI-based monitoring tools (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive alerts)\nDevelops scripts/tools for faster root cause analysis and resolution\n\nInnovation\n\nParticipates in Sparkathon and innovation activities\nUses lab environments for technical practice\nParticipates in chaos engineering drills (e.g., Simian Army)\nDevelops automation tools (Python, APIs) for chaos testing and operational resilience\nExplores AI/ML use cases for network optimization and incident prediction\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nProgramming / Automation\n\nPython, scripting (required)\nAPI integration (REST, network automation)\nInfrastructure as Code (nice to have)\n\nAI / Data\n\nBasic understanding of AI/ML concepts\nExperience with data analysis, log analysis, and anomaly detection\nFamiliarity with AI-driven monitoring tools (preferred)\n\nNetwork Architecture\n\nStrong understanding of:\n\nIP networking (L2/L3, BGP, routing)\nData center architecture\nInterconnection services\nScalability and redundancy design\n\nKnowledge of modern network architecture (cloud, hybrid, SDN)\n\nQualifications\n\n5+ years of experience in Network Operations / Engineering\nBachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)\nStrong understanding of network architecture and operations\nExperience in coding/automation (Python preferred)\nInterest or experience in AI-driven operations (AIOps) is a plus\n\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
