The successful candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation, sound judgement and the ability to apply accounting principles across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.\nPrevious experience in CAPEX accounting, fixed assets or project accounting is advantageous, but it is not essential. CAPEX accounting can be learned. More important is an analytical mindset, attention to detail and a natural curiosity to investigate issues, challenge unusual results and understand the drivers behind financial outcomes.\nCAPEX and fixed asset accounting will become the successful candidate’s area of specialisation. The role will support the accounting, reporting and statutory compliance of capital expenditure, fixed assets and capital projects within a multinational environment that reports under US GAAP while also meeting local statutory reporting and financial statement filing requirements.\nThis role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised CAPEX expertise while applying and expanding strong statutory accounting and financial reporting skills within a dynamic global finance organisation.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the accounting, reporting and statutory compliance of capital expenditure, fixed assets and capital projects\nPrepare and review financial information, reconciliations and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements\nSupport the preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and other relevant accounting frameworks\nAnalyse financial data, investigate variances and identify the root causes of accounting and reporting discrepancies\nPartner with operational teams, project managers, procurement and other stakeholders to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information\nSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation, reconciliations and technical accounting support\nContribute to process improvement initiatives that strengthen controls, reporting quality and operational efficiency\nAssist in the implementation and application of accounting policies within a multinational reporting environment, including exposure to US GAAP reporting requirements\nStay informed of developments in accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements across relevant jurisdictions\nSupport and collaborate with team members across finance and accounting functions to promote best practices and knowledge sharing\nQualifications\nQualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)\nStrong experience in statutory accounting, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, technical accounting, external audit or a related finance function\nGood knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP or other recognised accounting frameworks\nExperience preparing, reviewing or supporting statutory financial statements and disclosures\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve accounting issues\nExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy\nAbility to identify unusual trends, balances and variances and perform detailed analysis to determine underlying causes\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced international environment\nExperience with fixed asset accounting, CAPEX accounting, project accounting or asset management processes\nExposure to US GAAP reporting requirements\nExperience working within a multinational organisation, shared services environment or global finance function\nExperience supporting multiple legal entities and jurisdictions\nKnowledge of Oracle or other enterprise financial systems\nWhat Will Make You Successful\nWe are looking for someone who:\nHas a genuine affinity for numbers and financial analysis\nEnjoys investigating discrepancies and understanding the story behind the numbers\nDemonstrates strong professional curiosity and a willingness to challenge unusual outcomes\nTakes ownership of issues and follows them through to resolution\nCan balance technical accounting requirements with practical business realities\nThrives in a collaborative global environment and continuously seeks opportunities for improvement\nWhy Join Us\nOpportunity to develop specialised CAPEX and fixed asset expertise within a global finance organisation\nExposure to US GAAP, IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions\nCollaborative and supportive team environment with opportunities for professional growth and development\nOngoing training and coaching to build expertise in CAPEX accounting and related technical accounting topics\nMeaningful involvement in statutory reporting, technical accounting and process improvement initiatives that drive business value\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
