You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you-because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.Summary\nThe Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution and strategic direction of multiple large-scale capital construction projects, with a focus on data center and mission-critical environments. This role oversees project delivery from planning through completion, manages complex stakeholder and vendor relationships, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal controls. The position also provides leadership to project teams and mentors junior team members.\nResponsibilities\nLead and manage multiple large capital construction projects simultaneously.\nProvide project leadership for ground-up construction, renovations, remodels, infrastructure upgrades, and facility replacement projects.\nEnsure projects meet or exceed business objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.\nDirect and coordinate external partners, including general contractors, architectural and engineering firms, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, and specialty consultants.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors and key project stakeholders.\nCollaborate with Design, Procurement, Operations, IT, and Network teams to resolve complex project challenges.\nSupport the development and execution of contract administration processes, including contract review, change orders, cost forecasting, and project documentation.\nMonitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.\nContribute to the development of training initiatives and provide cross-functional knowledge sharing.\nMentor and support junior project managers and other team members.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to best-in-class construction management policies, procedures, and governance.\nEnsure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, local regulations, building codes, and internal controls.\nTravel as required to support project execution, site inspections, stakeholder meetings, and construction oversight activities.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.\nSignificant professional experience managing large-scale capital construction projects.\nProven experience delivering Data Center and mission-critical construction projects.\nStrong experience in commercial construction and contractor management.\nDemonstrated experience leading complex construction projects from design through commissioning and handover.\nExperience managing multiple vendors, contractors, consultants, and project partners simultaneously.\nStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.\nExperience working in matrixed environments and influencing without direct authority.\nStrong negotiation, schedule management, budget management, and risk management capabilities.\nKnowledge of quality management, construction safety, building codes, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.\nExperience leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring less experienced professionals.\nFluency in English, both written and verbal.\nAvailability to travel regularly to support project execution and construction oversight activities.\nAvailability to travel to project sites in Rio de Janeiro as business needs require.\nAvailability for regular travel and site presence in Barueri and Santana de Parnaíba.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional experience managing hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or cloud data center projects.\nExperience with commissioning and start-up activities in mission-critical facilities.\nExperience in large-scale infrastructure modernization and capacity expansion projects.\nExperience contributing to the development of construction management standards, governance, and best practices.\nProject Management certification(s) or construction-related professional certification(s).\nPrimary office:\nSP3 - Avenida Marcos Penteado de Ulhoa Rodrigues 249 Santana de Parnaiba- SP 06543-001 Brazil\nHybrid work model: 2 days per week in the office, with the remaining days working remotely.\nAdditional travel and project presence may be required in:\nRio de Janeiro, RJ \nBarueri, SP\nSantana de Parnaíba, SP\nSão Paulo\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
