You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you-because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.Job Summary:\nThe Eastern Cluster Senior Manager oversee 4 retails and 1 hyperscale sites (IBX) which are critical to operations of our Australian business and also our customers.\nPerformance by advancing our company priorities and maximizing value through effective use of company resources is a must. The Campus Lead sets direction, anticipates change and adapts to complexities to meet company and customer expectations, including financial, service SLAs and the safety of our people.\nThis is a key leadership role within the Australian Operations business, with responsibility of all of the Campus’s resources (people, finance, budgets).\nThe ideal candidate will be a value centered individual, passionate about collaborating whilst leading by example. They will create an enjoyable work environment with a deep focus on developing teams to maintain Equinix's standards, all whilst doing everything possible to protect Equinix's customers. \nA specific focus for this role is developing a strong leadership team around you who can share and take the lead when required; freeing up the Snr Manager for non-reactive duties.\n Key responsibilities:\nPlans and delegates effectively to Managers and Supervisors (BR1, CA1, SY6, SY7, SY9)) \nMentors, trains and empowers leadership team to prioritize workload and manage risks \nManages a team of Data Center leaders responsible for the 24/7 operational oversite and direction of Campus encompassing both technical and engineering disciplines \nCommunicates importance of working safely, effectively and with high regard to human error avoidance \nManages budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the Data Center Campus \nLeads the teams to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, KPI's and SLA's \nEnsures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete \nCollaborates with leaders on broad-scale Regional and Global projects that have an impact on the business, working with cross-functional teams, including Business Partners (Finance, IT, P&L) and general contractors (e.g., looking at large bids and projects with high visibility and greater risk) \nCommunicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during complex or severe customer-impacting incidents \nMakes recommendations for incident resolution \nProvides collaborative relationships with customers, and customer support teams \nDisplay a Customer Centric mindset and ability to handle customer escalations \nLeads, manages, recruits, and develops staff across multiple Data Centers \nActively contributes to and is a member of the Australian Operations Leadership Team and Australian Risk Council (ARC). \nQualifications, key skills and attributes:\nMulti-site and/or large team leadership experience in Critical Environments \nDemonstrated experience in Leadership / Management roles within a complex org structure\nDiploma / Degree in Engineering or related industry field or relevant certifications and experience \nDeep understanding of Equinix infrastructure or related critical environments across retail and hyperscale functions \nDedication to delivering a great customer experience and Effective presentation skills \nExperienced with budget management (headcount, capital, and expense management) \nDeep understanding of design documents, contracts, and technical information \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills \nOvertly collaborative and team-oriented mindset for accomplishing complex goals \nHigh technical knowledge of computer software use (Microsoft applications & Email etc.) \nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
