As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with product managers, architects, SREs, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions that power mission-critical business capabilities.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable, secure, and highly available software platforms and services\nTranslate business and technical requirements into solution designs, implementation plans, and operational runbooks\nDevelop high-quality, maintainable code while adhering to engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices\nLead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and key technology decisions across projects\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex application, platform, and production issues with a focus on reliability and customer impact\nBuild, operate, and continuously improve resilient cloud-native services across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments\nImplement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and cloud-native tooling\nDesign, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, automated, and reliable software delivery\nDrive automation initiatives that improve developer productivity, operational efficiency, and platform scalability\nArchitect, deploy, and manage containerized workloads and Kubernetes-based platforms across multi-region environments\nEstablish observability, monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance management practices for critical services\nProactively address vulnerabilities, technical debt, resiliency gaps, and disaster recovery requirements\nPartner with product managers, architects, security teams, and engineering stakeholders to deliver business outcomes\nConduct code reviews and architecture reviews while promoting engineering excellence and technical standards\nMentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, automation, and continuous learning\nContribute to technology roadmaps, modernization initiatives, cloud governance, and platform strategy\nLead complex cross-functional initiatives that drive innovation, operational excellence, and long-term platform evolution\nQualifications\nBachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)\n12+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering\nStrong software development experience using Java, Python, Go, Node.js, or similar technologies\nHands-on experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native applications\nExpertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms\nStrong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud services\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and cloud automation tools\nExperience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab\nExperience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or cloud messaging platforms\nExperience with relational and NoSQL databases, observability, monitoring, and production operations\nStrong troubleshooting, incident management, and reliability engineering skills\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and technical leadership capabilities\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
