The role is responsible for providing technology and solution-based thought leadership, bridging the network, data centre and Cloud/IT infrastructure into repeatable offers. Key focus areas include, but are not limited to, strategic sales engagements, development of offers, repeatable solutions, and use cases, focused on the five sales verticals within the Equinix Ecosystem (Network, Financial, Cloud, Content/Digital Media, and Enterprise).\nResponsibilities\nStrategic Sales Support\nProvides basic technology solutioning support to Equinix global field and channel sales\n\nSupports development of the account technology strategy (application of Equinix IOA) with Equinix Account Executives\n\nPrepares and conducts Customer workshops\n\nPrepares and delivers Customer presentations\n\nDevelops peer relationships with customers\n\nDemonstrates Equinix values through the provision of credible and convincing reasoning through compelling solutions to have a customer choose Equinix\n\nResearch and Development\nKeeps up-to-date with the state of the art by utilizing the GSE Solution Development Framework\n\nCollaborates on the research of relevant technology trends\n\nProvides input on the analysis of technology impacts\n\nRecommends to stakeholders based upon research finds\n\nSubject Matter Expertise\nMaintains Industry awareness through training, reading, research, collaboration and industry event attendance\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nInterfaces with fellow stakeholders in the products and solutions lifecycle such as in the EQUINIX CIO, CTO, CMO and CSO organizations on technology and service initiatives, new product introductions, technology roadmap, and commercial concerns\n\nTechnology and Innovation Insights\nProvides technical subject matter expertise to Sales, Marketing and the Industry through support in creating, developing and delivering content for proposals, marketing studies and marketing events\n\nSupports the briefing of Sales teams on the impact of new technology\n\nSupports the briefing of Sales teams on the features, restrictions and selling points of new Equinix products and offers\n\nSolution Development\nAnalyzes opportunities and problems within customer context, business plans, technological statuses, and strategic direction\n\nSupports the development of solutions in technology, processes, organizational, impact, commercials, and implementation plans\n\nDevelops solution benefits and business cases for change\n\nShares findings in customer presentations\n\nQualifications\n5+ Years in the functional domains of Network, Datacentre, Enterprise IT Systems, including implementation and technical support preferred\n\n5+ Years of Solutions Selling in a commercial pre-sales position preferred\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline preferred\n\nAdvanced industry certifications (i.e. Cisco, VMware, MS, AWS) preferred\n\nThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:\nUnited States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 178,000 - 266,000 USD / Annual\nOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.\nThe targeted pay range listed reflects On-Target Earnings or OTE, which is base pay plus commissions, and does not include equity or benefits.
