We are looking for excellent software engineers with a product-building mindset to join this team to build a next-generation SDN-based platform.\nResponsibilities\nAs a key member of the Equinix Product Engineering function, you will be involved in the software development life cycle and focus on delivering solutions for Interconnection product systems\n\nWork in a globally distributed development team environment with minimal supervision\n\nHands-on Architecture, Design, Development, Automation Testing & Support of Software Products and Solutions\n\nInteract with stakeholder(s) to understand and document the product feature(s)\n\nProvides the level of effort (LOE) for the product backlog. Works with technical project managers and product management teams to define detailed user stories and prepare a schedule\n\nIntegrate software product(s) with other systems, test interfaces, and manage version control\n\nAssist in the analysis & evaluation of new technologies to meet the demand for the product roadmap and technology platform goals\n\nHelp in the evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies for product features and the platform\n\nAdvocate and follow best design and development practices, adhering to Engineering standards\n\nParticipate in the Design & Peer Code Review process\n\nProvides status reports to management & team leads and helps with release management planning\n\nBreaking down the big features and user stories into granular components and development tasks considering different geo-locations\n\nPrioritizing and parallelizing the tasks in hand and dealing with ad-hoc requests\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of professional software development experience\n\nProfessional Experience: architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining customer-facing applications at scale in an innovative engineering environment\n\nStrong programming foundation with knowledge in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns\n\nMinimum 3+ years of backend expertise in application design & development with Java technologies, with knowledge of Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Message Queues & Workflow Engines with layered-microservices architecture\n\nMinimum of 2+ years of expertise in writing Test Automation scripts using Karate & Cypress\n\nUse a DevSecOps mindset to improve CICD using GitHub Actions and review DORA metrics to improve processes and consistently write fully secure code\n\nKnowledge on NexusIQ, SonarQube, Sonar Linting, DAST scans, DDoS attacks, Defensive Coding & Penetration Testing concepts\n\nExperience with database & caching technologies (Postgres, Oracle, Redis, and Timeseries Databases)\n\nExperience in architecting and building large-scale systems using a scale-out architecture that requires high availability, performance, high scalability, and multi-tenancy\n\nEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
