It is being developed in 3 phases (A, B and C) with a total of 277 turbines installed across the entire project. During the operations phase, maintenance of the wind farm will be conducted from 4 Service Operations Vessels (SOVs) each equipped with a Daughter Craft (DC). The O&M Base including the logistics warehouse is located at Port of Tyne, South Tyneside. Adjacent is Equinor’s UK Central Control Room and technical competence centre for engineering support.Asset Integrity are looking to recruit an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to strengthen our Dogger Bank O&M Team. By joining Asset Integrity, you will have the opportunity work with a team of discipline engineers including Turbine, HVDC, Mechanical, Electrical and Lifting specialists.\nWhat will my tasks be?\nWithin this position, your key tasks will be to:\nBe responsible for the technical integrity of automation, telecoms, network, cybersecurity, and operational technology (OT) equipment on Dogger Bank’s operational assets. \nProvide technical support to the Operations engineering function and evaluate modification proposals in-line with MOC process. \nOwn, maintain and develop Performance Standards related to all Automation & Control safety critical systems / equipment.\nDeliver technical integrity evaluations of Performance Standard compliance to contribute to overall management and visualisation of the integrity of the windfarm. \nOwn and manage technical risks for respective discipline. \nSupport development and implementation of all Automation & Control system related maintenance programs. \nSupport Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for discipline. \nOwn, maintain and develop Work Requirement (WR) and Guideline (GL) documentation for discipline, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, standards and legislation. \nSupport Prepare for Operations (PfO) process throughout handover phase of project through technical review and approval of assets. \nSupport management of Life Cycle Information (LCI) to ensure accurate information is maintained for the operational assets. \nSome infrequent offshore visits to support maintenance and fault-finding activities may be requested. \nHere's what we expect from you:\nAt Equinor, there are some overall qualities we regard as essential. And for this specific position, we are also looking for:\nAn excellent technical understanding of automation, controls, telecoms and operational technology equipment, preferably from an operations and maintenance background. In addition to this, the following attributes and work experience would be viewed favorably:\n Extensive experience working in automation and control systems within offshore wind and / or offshore oil and gas industry. \nHold a minimum of a Bachelors Engineering degree (Sufficient level of experience working in a similar role may compensate for formal qualifications). \nWind farm control systems design and implementation experience highly preferred. Other secure industries considered such as O&G, Nuclear etc.\nSCADA / equivalent system design, specification, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting experience required. \nCyber security risk assessment and mitigation are an advantage. \nTelecoms systems including analogue and digital radio, LTE, CCTV and multiplexing are an advantage. \nProficient English oral and written communications skills; with ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders and support functions.\nPlease note that recent changes to the UK immigration rules have tightened the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
