The role plays a key part in reducing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the safety performance of facilities throughout their lifecycle. As part of the operations team, the position provides specialist expertise in technical safety and barrier management to support operational installations.This position is part of the North Development program. You will receive a development and learning opportunity and be given stretch tasks and responsibility at an early stage. Your first three years in this role may see you on an exchange between our northern Norway locations.\nWhat will my tasks be?\nWithin this position, your key tasks will be to:\nContributing to improvements in health, safety, security, sustainability, and working environment performance within the unit’s areas of responsibility.\nPromoting cost efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEnsuring the application of best practices and contributing to experience-based learning and knowledge sharing.\nMonitoring and documenting the technical integrity of safety-critical systems and process safety barriers.\nIdentifying and highlighting the need for updates to technical plans within the technical safety discipline.\nPerforming and supporting risk assessments, barrier management activities, and the monitoring of risk exposure for designated installations.\nProviding technical guidance, clarifications, and recommendations related to technical safety matters and risk reduction measures.\nMonitoring the performance and integrity of process safety barriers and safety-critical functions.\nContributing to the development and implementation of technical safety measures, improvement initiatives, and projects.\nSupporting compliance with regulatory requirements, internal requirements, and relevant technical safety standards.\nEnsuring close collaboration with offshore organizations, technical disciplines, suppliers, and onshore organizations.\nContributing to the continuous development of barrier management, risk management, and technical integrity within the business area.\nDriving the continuous development of common best practices, cross-functional learning, implementation of improvements, and effective utilization of digital tools.\nHere's what we expect from you:\nAt Equinor, there are some overall qualities we regard as essential. Completed degree by August 2027. \nNo more than three years of relevant fulltime work experience.
