Working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, this individual will bring bold ideas to life across campaigns, digital, social, print, and content production.\nThe ideal candidate combines impeccable taste and strong conceptual thinking with a nimble, proactive, can-do attitude. They are equally comfortable art directing on set, owning design projects, and collaborating across disciplines with the ambition and ability to lead increasingly complex productions from concept through execution.\nResponsibilities & Requirements\nIncluding but not limited to the following:\nCreative Concepting & Art Direction\nDevelop compelling creative concepts and execute strong visual narratives across photography, video, design, and integrated campaigns that bring the Equinox brand to life.\nPartner with Creative Director, copywriters, and designers to translate creative briefs into sophisticated, strategically grounded ideas.\nBring a distinct creative point of view while remaining collaborative, adaptable, and open to feedback.\nStay at the forefront of design, fashion, photography, and contemporary culture, bringing fresh perspectives to the work.\nPhotography, Video & Content Production\nConcept and art direct photo and video shoots in collaboration with photographers, directors, stylists, producers, and external partners, with the ability to independently lead mid-tier productions from concept through post-production.\nDevelop creative treatments, mood boards, shot lists, and visual references to communicate a clear creative vision.\nManage communications with and provide feedback to outside creative partners, ensuring that the work is executed to match the vision.\nOversee image selection, retouching, editing, and final asset delivery to ensure alignment with creative direction and brand standards.\nBring an understanding of motion, video, and dynamic content to the development of conceptual visual storytelling.\nCollaboration & Creative Leadership\nTake ownership of projects from initial briefing through final delivery, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nDirectly manage, mentor, and develop a team of designers, providing ongoing feedback, and performance oversight.\nCollaborate closely with creative, marketing, digital, social, and production teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact work.\nCommunicate creative ideas clearly and confidently, presenting concepts and incorporating feedback effectively.\nDemonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the flexibility to jump in wherever needed.\nContribute to the overall creative culture by bringing fresh ideas, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to raising the standard of the work.\n 5-7 years of experience in art direction, graphic design, or a hybrid creative role, ideally within luxury, fashion, lifestyle, wellness, or premium consumer brands.\nExceptional portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, sophisticated design execution, and a highly refined visual aesthetic.\nProven experience designing across digital and print, with deep knowledge of digital design principles, platforms, and best practices.\nStrong foundation in typography, layout, visual identity, photography, and integrated campaign development.\nExperience art directing photo and video shoots, with a desire to take on greater ownership of productions.\nExpert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.\nProficiency in motion graphics, animation, and video editing is a significant plus.\nExcellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver exceptional work under tight deadlines.\nA strong understanding of luxury aesthetics and a genuine passion for design, fashion, photography, and contemporary culture.\nPay Transparency: $120-$140k\n AS A MEMBER OF THE EQUINOX TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE:\nWe offer competitive salary, benefits, and industry leading commission opportunities for club employees\nComplimentary Club membership\nPerks and incentives with our products and services including Personal Training, Pilates, Spa and Shop\nThis job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
