Your role will include:\nTechnical Leadership\nLead the civil and structural engineering discipline for complex oil and gas facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure projects across all project phases\nServe as the subject matter expert for structural engineering, foundations, concrete, steel structures, and modularized systems\nReview, approve, and oversee structural designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical reports\nEstablish and maintain discipline standards, engineering procedures, and best practices\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements, including CSA, CISC, NBC, provincial regulations, and industry best practices\nProvide technical leadership on proposals, FEED studies, detailed engineering projects, and strategic initiatives\nTeam Leadership & Collaboration\nWork closely with process, piping, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines\nLead, mentor, and develop civil and structural engineers, designers, and technical specialists\nProvide technical oversight and quality assurance across multiple projects and engineering teams\nFoster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement\nCoordinate closely with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery\nSupport resource planning, workforce development, and succession planning initiatives\nProject Execution & Delivery\nOversee civil and structural engineering deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements across multiple projects\nSupport project planning, execution strategies, bid evaluations, and client proposals\nConduct design reviews, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and technical evaluations\nEnsure high-quality deliverables are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements\nSupport clients and project teams in resolving complex technical challenges\nConstruction & Field Support\nAssist with responses to RFIs and technical queries during construction and commissioning\nProvide senior engineering support during construction, commissioning, and startup activities\nParticipate in site assessments, inspections, and field reviews as required\nReview and resolve field issues, RFIs, and construction-related technical concerns\nEnsure designs remain practical, constructible, and aligned with project objectives and safety expectations\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nChampion engineering quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle\nEnsure adherence to corporate quality management systems and engineering governance requirements\nPromote safe design principles and compliance with environmental, regulatory, and client expectations\nSupport technical audits, lessons learned reviews, and continuous improvement programs\nAbout You\nYou are a highly experienced civil/structural engineering leader who thrives in multidisciplinary EPCM environments and enjoys mentoring teams while driving technical excellence. You bring:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (required)\nRegistered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA (required)\nMinimum 15+ years of civil/structural engineering experience, including significant EPCM oil and gas project experience\nDemonstrated experience leading large multidisciplinary facilities projects and engineering teams\nProven ability to manage complex technical scopes, project demands, and stakeholder expectations\nStrong leadership, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills\nExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities\nTechnical Foundation\nAdvanced structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures\nFoundations, load calculations, equipment supports, and modularized facilities\nCivil and structural engineering design for oil and gas facilities and pipeline infrastructure\nExpert knowledge of applicable design codes, standards, and engineering practices\nExperience supporting large-scale EPCM projects from concept through construction\nFamiliarity with international engineering standards is considered an asset\nSoftware Proficiency\nAdvanced knowledge of structural analysis software including RISA, STAAD, SAP2000, and S-FRAME\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and engineering calculation tools\nDyna6 experience considered an asset\nFamiliarity with 3D design and multidisciplinary model review platforms\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline\nExperience serving as a discipline lead, department lead, or principal engineer within an EPCM environment\nExperience supporting large-scale facilities, pipeline, and SAGD developments\nPrevious involvement in engineering standards development and technical governance
