This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.\nJob responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\nCollaborate with other departments in the club to ensure members have a well-rounded experience\nProvide excellent customer service to all Equinox members and guests\nParticipate in ongoing training and development\nMaintain studio and equipment cleanliness\nSupervising the Group Pilates staff and operations of the Group Pilates program to ensure the highest level of programming and customer service \nAssuring classes are full and high member participation\nRecruiting, hiring, training, motivating, directing, coaching and evaluating Group Pilates instructors and classes\nEnsuring that the group fitness studios are well maintained\nMaintaining monthly payroll expenses and supply expenses at or below budget\nDeliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class\nAdhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary\nContinuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class\nEnsure class begins and ends on time\nTeach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum\n20-25 hours per week of coordinating responsibilities\n The successful candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:\nTest out and completion from a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program or completion of certification on all Pilates apparatus including mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, high or combo chair, and barrels \nA minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education must be completed through a Pilates certification program \nApplicants must be able to provide a valid copy of their Pilates certification(s) \nExceptional customer service skills\nExperience teaching group classes\nMust be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing\nEssential Physical Requirements:\nStanding, sitting, and walking\nSquatting, bending, and reaching\nPushing, pulling, ability to safely spot and correct clients during session\nAS A PILATES INSTRUCTOR OF THE EQUINOX TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE:\nCompensation for time spent in internal Pilates continuing education and business development to support your growth as a Pilates Instructor and professional\n Access to our company discounts with various certifying bodies and countless free continuing education Pilates workshops\nBonus opportunities for eligible instructors\nAccess to Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k benefits within the first month of employment for full-time employees\nPathway to Pilates management opportunities and Pilates Educator opportunities\nPay Transparency: $25 per hour; $90 per class\n AS A MEMBER OF THE EQUINOX TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE:\nWe offer competitive salary, benefits, and industry leading commission opportunities for club employees\nComplimentary Club membership\nPerks and incentives with our products and services including Personal Training, Pilates, Spa and Shop\nThis job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
