The HR Generalist carries out the responsibilities in the following functional areas: HRIS, benefits administration and leave administration.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.\nAdministers various human resources plans and procedures for the organization, interacting with employees, managers and third-party partners to achieve objectives.\nReviews and responds to employees regarding policy, procedure and other human resources related inquiries. \nTrain staff on how to use various payroll applications; incorporating any changes as part of staff training.\nCompletes all accounting payroll reports to regulatory agencies, insurance companies and pension funds including Life/LTD, Pension tax return, NYS Dept. of Labor research & statistics, year-end audit, W2's; overtime reports, ADI audit reports; hours proof reports, etc.\nCoordinates NHSC and NYS loan forgiveness program requirements and reporting.\nSupports the maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures.\nAdministers unemployment, workers compensation and other third-party insurance claims. \nAssists with the annual open enrollment process.\nResolves benefit discrepancies with employees, payroll, carriers and the organization.\nAssists with EEO reporting. Maintains other records and reports to conform to regulations.\nMaintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.\nParticipates in staff meetings and attends other meetings.\nDemonstrates excellence in both internal and external customer service.\nUnderstands and is able to effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance and client confidentiality.\nEnsures and/or remains in compliance with local, state, and federal regulation, and accreditation standards.\nCompletes other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.\nLengthy periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.\n Minimum Qualifications:\nA Bachelors’ degree or 7 to 10 years of relevant HR Generalist experience that includes knowledge of principles and best practices of Human Resources administration, employee relations and labor relations. \nTwo (2) years of Recruiting experience to include knowledge of principles and best practices of Human Resources administration, payroll, recruitment and processing. \nSkills:\nEffective oral and written communication skills\nExcellent interpersonal skills.\nDemonstrated efficiency in Microsoft, ability to analyze/report;
