The Senior Manager, Capital Procurement manages the company’s sourcing strategy, supplier management, and commercial execution for capital projects across all business units. This role serves as the primary procurement partner to Construction, Facilities, Operations, IT, and Finance ensuring capital investments are competitively sourced, contractually protected, delivered on budget, and aligned with company procurement policies. This role reports into our Senior Director of Procurement and sits at our headquarters in Hudson Yards.\nThe role is accountable for developing and executing procurement strategies supporting new club expansions, existing club renovations, fitness equipment, HVAC, capital repairs, club technology, automation, construction contracting duties (including contractor prequalification, comparing bids, contract types, retainage, lien waivers, bonding), lease-vs-buy and financing analysis, and partner with Real Estate on landlord build-out allowances.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and execute company-wide CAPEX sourcing strategies supporting annual capital investment plans.\nDrive competitive sourcing to maximize cost savings, optimize capital, mitigate risk, and improve project outcomes.\nIdentify opportunities to leverage preferred suppliers, supplier consolidation, category optimization, and company purchasing agreements.\nLead sourcing activities for large-scale capital projects from project conception through project closeout.\nPartner with Construction, Finance, Design, Architecture, and project managers to ensure alignment on budget, specs, and timelines.\nSupport business cases through market intelligence, budgeting support, should-cost analysis, and supplier benchmarking.\nOversee supplier selection, negotiation strategies, contract execution, and change order governance.\nNegotiate commercial terms, payment structures, service agreements, warranties, performance guarantees, and risk allocation provisions.\n Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field.\nMinimum 8 years’ experience in procurement and category management capital purchases.\nProven ability to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and deliver measurable procurement value.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to apply market research to investment planning.\nExcellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and influencing skills for both internal and external business partners.\nStrategic mindset combined with a passion for finding better ways to drive cost savings results.\nStrong financial management and analysis skills\nAbility to influence and to drive value as a trusted business partner.\nResults-oriented with strong attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nMust be a team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support function to the organization.\nPay Transparency: $150k - $165k\n AS A MEMBER OF THE EQUINOX TEAM YOU WILL RECEIVE:\nWe offer competitive salaries, benefits, and industry leading commission opportunities for club employees\nComplimentary Club membership\nPerks and incentives with our products and services including Personal Training, Pilates, Spa and Shop\nThis job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
