Inspect in transit if necessary.\nComplete thorough and accurate daily pre-inspections and post-inspections, regulatory logs and timesheets. Check gas, oil and other fluid levels. \nSecure customer signature on contract, if not already signed\nInform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.\nInform management of new sales opportunities and job sites\nDouble check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered\nCommunicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified. \nMaintain accurate delivery and pickup records\nIf equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets. \nTag and move broken equipment to repair area.\nHelp with general labour duties in the yard as required (operating forklift, organizing equipment, cleaning equipment, etc.). \nKeep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times. \nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\nQualifications and Requirements:\nValid AZ driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.\n3-5 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the construction industry (or closely related field), transporting heavy loads. \nComfortable with 18-speed manual transmission.\nComfortable with city driving. \ncomfortable hauling oversized loads (on average 10ft wide). \nPhysical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.\nHighly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver. \nExperience with operation, load securement and transportation of heavy-duty construction equipment or materials on flat-bed trucks is required.\nAvailable and willing to work overtime when required. \nFlexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.\nExcellent problem-solving and organization skills.\nStrong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.\nSelf-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.\nWant to learn more about career opportunities at Cooper Equipment Rentals?
