Perks!\nCompetitive salary, with overtime available\nExcellent benefit package with premiums paid by the company\nUniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear provided\nSafety-minded organization\nContinuous training, learning and development opportunities \nFun-loving work environment with strong social responsibility \nWhat You’ll Be Doing \nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDeliver and pick up a diverse fleet of construction equipment to and from customer jobsites.\nLoad and unload equipment; secure loaded equipment per company safe work procedures and inspect in transit if necessary.\nMaintain accurate delivery and pickup records. \nPerform vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil and other fluid levels. \nSecure customer signature on contract, if not already signed. \nInform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups. \nInform management of new sales opportunities and job sites. \nDouble check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered. \nCommunicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified \nIf equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get the customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets. Tag and move broken equipment to repair area. \nProvide basic instruction to customers on the safe operation of equipment if necessary. \nKeep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times. \nComplete daily accurate pre-inspections and post-inspections regulatory logs and timesheets. \nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team \nQualifications and Requirements:\nValid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request. \nExperience with operation, load securement and transportation of construction equipment, or other types of heavy loads is an asset. \nPrior commercial driving experience is an asset. \nExperience driving heavy trucks and/or pulling trailers is an asset (for example Class G/5 Roll-Off trucks, flat decks, or heavy-duty pick-up trucks). \nComfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions. \nComfortable with city driving. \nPhysical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. \nHighly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver. \nAvailable and willing to work overtime when required. \nFlexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment. \nExcellent problem-solving and organization skills. \nStrong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues. \nSelf-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team. \nWant to learn more about career opportunities at Cooper Equipment Rentals?
