Perks!\nCompetitive salary, with overtime available\nExcellent benefit package with premiums paid by the company\nUniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear provided\nRRSP Match \nSafety-minded organization \nStable, year-round employment\nContinuous training, learning and development opportunities \nFun-loving work environment with strong social responsibility \nWhat You’ll Be Doing \nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDeliver and pick up a fleet of pump and generator equipment (diesel generators and pumps of various voltages, dewatering and sewage pumps, etc.). \nLoad and unload equipment; secure loaded equipment per company safe work procedures and inspect in transit if necessary.\nMaintain accurate delivery and pickup records. \nPerform vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil and other fluid levels.\nSecure customer signature on contract, if not already signed. \nInform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups. \nInform management of new sales opportunities and job sites. \nDouble check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered. \nCommunicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified \nIf equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets. Tag and move broken equipment to repair area. \nProvide basic instruction to customers on the safe operation of equipment if necessary. \nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team \nQualifications and Requirements:\nValid Class DZ driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request. \nComfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions. \nComfortable with manual transmission.\nComfortable with city driving.\nHighly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver. \nExperience with load securement and transportation of heavy equipment on flat-bed trucks is required. \nExperience transporting / working with pump and power equipment is an asset\nAvailable and willing to work overtime when required and on an on-call rotation if required. \nPhysical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.\nHighly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver. \nFlexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment. \nExcellent problem-solving and organization skills\nStrong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.\nSelf-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team. \nWant to learn more about career opportunities at Cooper Equipment Rentals?
