The ideal candidate thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals. This role is focused on hunting for new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts. Success in this position requires persistence, strong industry awareness, and a passion for helping contractors and businesses get the right rental equipment when they need it most.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nProactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, site visits, networking, and referrals. \nConsistently generate qualified leads, build a strong pipeline, and close new rental business. \nDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, project managers, and decision-makers. \nMeet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. \nConduct on-site visits to assess customer needs and recommend equipment solutions that maximize productivity and safety. \nStay informed on market trends, jobsite activity, competitor offerings, and product innovations to position Cooper as the partner of choice. \nNegotiate rental agreements and pricing with confidence and professionalism. \nDeliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customers receive prompt solutions and reliable follow-up. \nAccurately track activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system. \nRepresent the company at trade shows, industry events, and community functions to build brand presence and expand market share. \nProvide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and long-term relationships. \nAnalyze customer needs and requirements, and present customers with equipment rental solutions. \nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\nQualifications and Requirements:\nValid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request. \nMinimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an asset but is not required. \nProven success in B2B Outside Sales with a hunter mindset-experience in the construction equipment rental industry or a related field is a strong asset. \nThorough understanding of the construction industry, and of equipment rental fleet operations is an asset. \nProduct knowledge of a diverse range of construction equipment is an asset. \nDemonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and consistently growing a territory. \nExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; able to interact professionally with customers (at all levels), as well as with your teammates. \nHighly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a competitive environment. \nStrong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; familiarity with SRM software is a plus. \nTeam-player, with the ability to interact with both customers and colleagues in a professional manner. \nWant to learn more about career opportunities at Cooper Equipment Rentals?
