Perks!\nCompetitive salary, with overtime available\nExcellent benefit package with premiums paid by the company \nTool allowance \nUniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear provided\nRRSP Match\nSafety-minded organization \nStable, year-round employment\nContinuous training, learning and development opportunities \nFun-loving work environment with strong social responsibility \nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nClean, lubricate and maintain a variety of small construction equipment and tools including diesel, gas, hydraulic and electrical systems. \nTest and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts. \nRepair or replace worn, defective or broken parts. \nAssemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs. \nTest repaired equipment for proper performance.\nAccurately document all service and repair information. \nFollow all safety rules and regulations.\nMaintain a clean and organized workspace. \nCommunicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\nQualifications and Requirements:\nMinimum of one year of related mechanical experience.\nSmall Engine Technician, Motorcycle Technician or similar trade certificate (or equivalent work experience) is an asset.\nExperience working on 2 and/or 4-stroke engines.\nExperience working with equipment brands such as Stihl, Wacker, Milwaukee and Husqvarna would be an asset.\nMust have your own tools (or working towards building a complete toolset). \nValid class G/5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points) is considered an asset. You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request. \nExcellent problem-solving and organizational skills.\nComfortable working both independently and as part of a team. \nHighly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.\nComfortable with computers/technology (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.)\nEagerness to continuously learn and stay up to date with emerging technology\nAvailable and willing to work overtime as needed \nPhysical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
