This is a hands-on role where you’ll work with a variety of construction equipment-inspecting returns, staging equipment for upcoming rentals and deliveries, cleaning and detailing equipment, and keeping the yard safe and organized.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, being part of a team, and learning about construction equipment and the rental industry.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing \nDuties and Responsibilities:\nInspect equipment as it is returned to the yard, identify and report visible damage or maintenance concerns, and complete service tags as required.\nStage, organize, and move equipment throughout the yard to support upcoming rentals, deliveries, and returns.\nHelp ensure equipment is rent-ready by checking its general condition and completing required inspections.\nWash, dry, and detail rental equipment using pressure washers, vacuums, and appropriate cleaning products.\nAssist drivers with safely loading and unloading equipment.\nSafely operate forklifts and a variety of construction equipment as required.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized equipment yard and wash bay.\nAssist with fueling, tire storage, moving equipment, and other general yard duties as needed.\nCommunicate equipment status, damage, or service needs to the appropriate team members.\nWork closely with drivers, mechanics, rental coordinators, and other branch team members to help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.\nFollow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.\nPitch in wherever needed to support the team and our customers.\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team \nQualifications and Requirements:\nValid Class G driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You’ll be required to provide an updated driver’s abstract upon request.\nComfortable working outdoors year-round and performing physically active work, including standing for extended periods and lifting approximately 50 lbs.\nForklift experience and/or experience operating construction equipment is a strong asset.\nMechanical aptitude or an interest in learning how construction equipment works is an asset.\nComfortable using computers and technology to complete inspections, update equipment information, and perform other day-to-day tasks.\nDependable and organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to keep up in a busy, fast-paced environment.\nPositive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.\nStrong communication skills and the confidence to speak up when you notice equipment damage, safety concerns, or something that doesn’t look right.\nCustomer-service mindset and a professional approach when interacting with customers, drivers, and team members.\nEager to learn and develop your knowledge of construction equipment and the equipment rental industry.\nAvailable and willing to work overtime when required.\nWant to learn more about career opportunities at Cooper Equipment Rentals?
