Our Engineering Platforms department would like to welcome a detail-oriented.\nSenior Database Administrator in our office in Bengaluru\nResponsibilities\nAdminister and maintain MySQL / MariaDB / PostgreSQL databases across production and non-production environments.\nConfigure, monitor, and troubleshoot replication topologies (master-replica, Galera Cluster, streaming replication).\nWrite and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures for automation, data synchronization, and reporting tasks.\nPerform query optimization, index tuning, and performance analysis.\nManage backup, recovery, and routine maintenance operations.\nCollaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability, security, and performance.\nMonitor database health and proactively identify potential issues.\nAssist with database upgrades, migrations, and patching\nExperience Requirements\n2-4 years of hands-on experience with MySQL or MariaDB in production environments.\nPractical experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.\nStrong understanding of replication, Galera Cluster, and high-availability configurations.\nSolid SQL scripting and query optimization skills.\nFamiliarity with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.\nComfortable working in Linux environments with basic shell scripting skills.\nExposure to Azure SQL Database or NoSQL technologies (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB) is a plus.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nCollaborative and proactive team player with good communication skills.\nNice to Have\nExperience with ClickHouse, Redis, or other analytical or caching databases.\nFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure or GCP).\nBasic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, or infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).\nPerks\nEach of our offices has its special perks; be it ‘no ties’, free lunches, charity events, or a hybrid work policy - but whenever you walk into an Equiti office, you’re sure to see a friendly face.
