Working under the direction of the Strategic Marketing Manager, this role helps translate business objectives, product information and market insights into compelling campaigns, sales concepts and marketing materials. This position works closely with members of the Sales and Marketing team. The Marketing Strategist is expected to carry out their duties and responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with EquiTrust’s Company Values of Integrity, Leadership, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion.\nThe Marketing Strategist collaborates with content, design, digital marketing, sales and other cross-functional partners to coordinate campaign execution, maintain consistent messaging and support measurable marketing results. This role also conducts research, monitors campaign performance and contributes insights and recommendations that help strengthen future marketing initiatives.\nWhat You'll Do:\nMarketing campaign development:Executes integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns in support of established marketing strategies and business objectives.\nDevelops campaign briefs, messaging recommendations and supporting materials.\nCoordinates campaign deliverables cross-functionally.\nPartners with digital marketing teams to support website, landing-page and SEO initiatives in partnership with digital marketing.\nMonitors campaign KPIs and recommends opportunities for optimization.\n\nSales concept creation:Supports the development of compelling sales concepts including translating product features and benefits and competitive differentiators into value propositions.\nAssists in developing pitch frameworks, sales enablement materials, messaging and concept mockups to support marketing execution.\nGathers input from Sales to help improve tools and messaging.\n\nCross-functional collaboration:Works closely with content writers, graphic designers and digital marketers to execute marketing campaigns.\nWorks cross-functionally with sales, product management, compliance and legal to ensure messaging accuracy and regulatory alignment.\nDevelops campaign rollout, stakeholder communication and performance tracking aligned to strategic direction.\nSupports communication and coordination across departments for campaign initiatives.\n\nMarket research and competitor analysis:Monitors industry trends, competitive positioning and evolving financial professional and buyer behaviors.\nSummarizes findings and develops recommendations that improve campaign effectiveness and positioning.\n\nAdditional responsibilities:Supports the Sales and Marketing team and/or other departments on an as-needed basis.\nWillingly takes on additional responsibilities as requested in order to accomplish department and Company objectives.\n\nWhat You'll Bring:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required.\nExperience:\nMinimum 3 years of experience in marketing, campaign management, or sales enablement role-preferably in financial services or insurance required.\nUnderstanding of life insurance, annuities and distribution channels required.\nExperience supporting or developing integrated campaigns in a regulated or B2B environment preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\n\nExperienced in developing and executing marketing campaigns aligned to business objectives.\nWorking knowledge of industry-specific products and concepts and distribution channels in which we offer our products.\nDemonstrated ability to translate complex products into compelling marketing and sales narratives.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency in marketing analytics, campaign reporting and performance optimization.\nAbility to manage multiple initiatives in a deadline-driven environment.\nWhere You’ll Work:\nWest Des Moines, IA\nExpected Travel: Infrequent travel (less than 10% of the time)\nTotal Rewards:\nIn addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive an annual discretionary incentive bonus and access to a competitive benefits package including:\nMedical, Dental & Vision coverage:\n401(k) with Company Match\nPaid time off: Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and more\nPaid Parental Leave for both Mothers and Fathers\nHybrid/Remote Work Options\nEarly Friday Closure\nEquiTrust is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in the U.S. Federal E-Verify program.
