This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career communications professional to build meaningful experience in a fast-growing community bank.\nResponsibilities and Expectations\nKey Responsibilities\nDraft, edit, and coordinate internal communications, including employee announcements, newsletters, and updates related to company initiatives and organizational changes\nSupport the development of customer-facing communications, including notices related to promotions, product changes, and acquisition/integration milestones\nAssist in drafting and maintaining internal FAQ documents to support employees and customer-facing teams during periods of change\nCoordinate press release drafts and basic media inquiries in partnership with marketing leadership, ensuring consistent tone and messaging\nSupport the review and refinement of external-facing language for accuracy, clarity, and audience sensitivity - particularly for community banking and M&A-related communications\nMaintain and update website and intranet content related to communications and company announcements\nAssist with the coordination of internal communications calendars, ensuring messages are sequenced appropriately across audiences and channels\nSupport crisis or time-sensitive communications needs under the direction of marketing leadership\nWrite scripts for internal and external video content, partnering with the video/creative team to ensure messaging is clear and on-brand\nWrite and manage blog content that supports the bank's communications and content marketing goals\nProvide copywriting support for advertising and promotional materials, ensuring consistent voice and messaging across channels\nPartner with the broader marketing team on brand-consistent messaging across all communications materials\nRequired Skills & Education\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field\n2-4 years of experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing role\nStrong writing and editing skills, with close attention to tone, accuracy, and audience, and the versatility to write across formats, including video scripts, blog content, and advertising copy\nAbility to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion, particularly around organizational change and M&A activity\nComfortable managing multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment\nExperience with the banking or financial services industry is a plus but not required\nWho We Are\nEquity Bank, a full-service, $7.9 billion community bank, is based in Wichita, Kansas, with over 80 bank offices throughout Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.\nAt Equity Bank, you can find exciting opportunities to challenge you, expand your skills, and reward your contributions.
