We accomplish this through an intense commitment to safety, quality service, excellence, and partnerships.\n Position Description\nSummary\nReports to the IT Specialist. Responsible for supporting the IT Specialist in performing various IT movements, installation, and repairs across the Job Corps campus.\nEssential Functions\n\nResponsible for assisting the IT Specialist in meeting the IT requirements of the corporate, Regional, and National offices.\n\nAides the IT Specialist in maintenance of users’ IT accounts, such as Citrix and Center Information System (CIS).\n\nMay reset passwords for users’ Windows, Citrix, and CIS accounts as needed and determined by the IT Specialist.\n\nAssists the IT Specialist in updating the ID badge computer.\n\nMaintains Job Corps Student Network Server and creates user accounts for all new students.\n\nAssists the IT Specialist in installation of Department of Labor (DOL)-approved software on staff and students’ computers upon request.\n\nAssist with issuing and delivering computer and IT related supplies held in the office of the IT Specialist.\n\nClearly communicates and consistently models appropriate employability skills, including personal responsibility and computer fluency.\n\nInstallation of computer and IT related hardware as approved by the IT Specialist.\n\nAdheres to safety practices.\n\nReasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\nRequirements\nRequired Education & Experience\n\nMust have HSD/HSE.\n\nMust have a TABE score of at least 536 Reading and 537 Math.\n\nMust have completed at minimum 60% of Career Technical Training.\n\nCertifications/Competencies\n\nKnowledge of computer science, computer repair and software.\n\nAbility to promote the Career Success Standards (CSS) by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary, and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.\n\nStrong organizational skills\n\nExcellent writing and verbal communication skills\n\nComputer proficiency required.\n\nMinimum Eligibility Qualifications\n\nI-9 documentation required to verify authorization to work in the United States\n\nDynamic Cornerstones\nEmployees are expected to demonstrate Dynamic Cornerstones in delivering services as an employee at Job Corps.\nAdditional Information\nOther Duties\nThis job description is not a comprehensive listing of all duties or responsibilities that are required for this position and may be updated.
