We accomplish this through an intense commitment to safety, quality service, excellence, and partnerships.\n Ensures adaptive equipment necessary for food consumption is available.\nWorks closely with dietary consultants.\nEstablished quality standards for planning, preparing, and food yield.\nCreates and submits menus that assure nutritional adequacy and variety, including modified diets and special diets.\nConducts pricing audits annually to ensure cost effectiveness.\nWorks closely with RN supervisor regarding dietary orders prescribed by the physician.\nRecommends and/or orders food and other supplies used by the Dietary Department and ensures adequate quantities are on hand.\nObtains in-service training at least annually.\nProvides training to all new staff.\nHolds in-service training on specific dietary programs as needed, but not less than annually.\nTrains dietary staff in the implementation of dietary procedures and health and safety standards.\nAssists in training staff and individuals about good nutrition and dietary goals.\nConfers with the Administrator in the development of policies, procedures and other written documentation as appropriate.\nDevelops written policies and procedures defining the use of acceptable dietary programs.\nServes as the Team for completing assessments in accordance with the Service Plan schedules.\nFunctions as a consultant to staff and families.\nServes on Health, Safety, Infection Control, and other assigned committees.\nAttends administrative meetings and communicates with staff to enhance the flow of information.\nServes on other committees as required.\nEnsures positions are filled in a timely manner.\nProvides dietary schedule to the Timekeeper.\nEnsures staff coverage.\nDevelops departmental work schedules.\nCompletes evaluations and disciplinary actions in a timely manner.\nOther duties as assigned\nOne years of supervisory experience preferred; One year experience working in a cafeteria/institutional kitchen preferred. \nHigh school diploma or GED.
