development experience and exposure to AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI.\n\nThis role is primarily focused on software development (70%), with 30% focused on AI/LLM-based solutions.\n\nThe ideal candidate should have experience building production-grade applications, working with different architectures, cloud and DevOps environments, APIs, databases, and solving complex technical problems independently.\n\nResponsibilities : \n\nSoftware Development - 70% : \n\n- Design, develop, and maintain scalable production applications and backend services using Python.\n\n- Build APIs, microservices, integrations, and data-driven applications.\n\n- Work with databases, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.\n\n- Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions.\n\n- Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, and reliability.\n\n- Work with CI/CD, Docker, monitoring, logging, and DevOps practices.\n\n- Take end-to-end ownership of projects and technical initiatives.\n\n- Participate in code reviews and technical/design discussions.\n\n- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.\n\nAI / GenAI - 30% : \n\n- Build and integrate LLM-powered applications and AI workflows.\n\n- Develop RAG-based solutions using embeddings and vector databases.\n\n- Build and integrate Agentic AI solutions and AI orchestration workflows.\n\n- Integrate LLMs with APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.\n\n- Work on prompt engineering, context management, AI evaluation, and guardrails.\n\n- Improve AI application reliability, performance, and scalability.\n\nQualifications : \n\nProgramming & Software Engineering : \n\n- 8+ years of professional software development experience.\n\n- Strong hands-on expertise in Python.\n\n- Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, clean code, testing, debugging, and software engineering best practices.\n\n- Strong backend development experience.\n\n- Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and backend services.\n\n- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.\n\n- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.\n\n- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and DevOps practices.\n\n- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.\n\n- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production systems.\n\nAI / GenAI : \n\n- Hands-on experience with AI and LLM-based applications.\n\n- Good understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.\n\n- Experience with Agentic AI / AI orchestration frameworks.\n\n- Experience integrating LLMs with APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.\n\nGood to Have : \n\n- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).\n\n- Multi-agent systems.\n\n- LLMOps / MLOps.\n\n- AI observability and evaluation tools.\n\n- Data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or Data Lakes.\n\n- Life Sciences / Pharma / Healthcare domain experience.\n\n- Open-source
