An inclusive and diverseworkforce strengthens us and allows for a collaborative environment to solve the challenges that face our industry today and in the future.\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Supervisor of Renewable Forecasting and Analysis leads ERCOT's renewable forecasting team, directing the development of operationally reliable wind and solar forecasts and applying advanced AI/ML and probabilistic techniques to strengthen in-house models. This role supervises a team of engineers and analysts, manages forecast vendor contracts and procurement, and oversees forecast performance analysis, reporting accuracy, and renewable telemetry data quality. The Supervisor also leads the Pay-for-Performance evaluation process, manages the ERCOT Forecast Presentation Platform, and serves as the primary point of coordination between ERCOT meteorologists and control room staff on renewable forecasting matters.\nJOB DUTIES\nDirectly supervise a team of ERCOT engineers and analysts, including performance management, coaching, and workload prioritization\nManage forecast vendor procurement and contract lifecycle (RFPs, renewals, SLAs)\nIdentify and scope new forecasting use-cases and business needs, including new/emerging forecast product types\nLead development of operationally reliable wind and solar forecasts, applying advanced AI/ML techniques to enhance existing in-house models\nOversee ongoing forecast performance analysis and reporting\nOwn and ensure accuracy of ERCOT forecasting reports\nMonitor and manage renewable telemetry performance and data quality\nLead Pay-for-Performance (P4P) evaluation and its ongoing methodology evolution\nEvaluate and refine the use of probabilistic forecasts and their integration into ERCOT methodologies\nServe as primary point of coordination with ERCOT meteorologists and control room staff\nManage ERCOT Forecast Presentation Platform (FPP)\nEvaluate and tune renewable parameters in ERCOT applications\nEXPERIENCE\nTypically requires 5 years of related experience, including at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.\nCERTIFICATION\nPE Professional Engineer (Preferred)\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree : Electrical Engineering or related field (Required)\nMaster's Degree : Electrical Engineering or related field (Preferred)\nor a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required\n#LI-DN\nWork Location\nHybrid in Taylor, TX 2 days per week\nERCOT is firmly committed to equal employment for all qualified persons without regard to race, sex, medical condition, religion, age, creed, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, ancestry, veteran status, genetic information or any other protected category under federal, state or local law.\nExpected Salary Range:\n$145,000 -
