The role of a Middle Leader is underpinned by educational vision, strategic direction, particular programs and needs of the Flexible School, as well as any government initiatives that may impact the foreseeable future.\nThese expectations of Middle Leaders are shaped by the four touchstones of the EREA Charter, being:\nGospel Spirituality;\nInclusive Community;\nLiberating Education; and\nJustice and Solidarity.\nThis position is a Leadership role with a 4+4 year fixed-term contract with a Tier 3 Leadership Allowance in addition to a substantive Teacher role.\n\nABOUT YOU\nEssential:\nBachelor of Education (Primary or Secondary). \nCurrent registration with the state or territory’s relevant teaching authority.\nDemonstrated successful teaching experience, normally including at least three years of professional practice, together with evidence of leadership capability relevant to the position.\nA current First Aid certificate or ability to obtain.\nA current Driver’s License.\nHigh-level written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with Young People, community and staff.\nAbility to engage and work positively with vulnerable and/or at-risk Young People.\nHighly Desirable:\nProven leadership experience, both strategic and operational, characterised by strong organisational, administrative, communication, and leadership skills, particularly in relation to areas outlined in this position.\nDemonstrated experience leading and influencing teams through collaboration, coaching, mentoring and professional learning.\nDemonstrated capacity to lead trauma-informed practice and wellbeing initiatives.\nDemonstrated commitment to and understanding of the EREAFSL Flexi Practice Framework and its application within Flexible School settings.\nExperience supporting curriculum, pastoral care or program leadership within a Flexible School environment.\nDemonstrated capacity to mentor and develop staff through coaching and reflective practice.\nAbility to diagnose problems, foresee potential issues and devise appropriate responses.\nAbility to lead, work in, and collaborate across teams with integrity and humility.\nUnderstanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.\nWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU\nEdmund Rice Charism\nLearn how to do school differently\n12.75% Superannuation contribution\nSalary sacrificing benefits, including FBT exempt payments of up to $15,900 p/a\nSupportive multi-disciplinary team environment\nInduction, wellbeing and ongoing professional development\nAccess to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nHOW TO APPLY (Please upload documents in PDF format)\nTo apply, please click apply to access our external application portal.
