Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA.\nJob Description:\nSupport the planning, design, and engineering of facility and site improvement projects\nDevelop and review civil engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documents\nAssist with the design of site layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, paving, and other civil infrastructure\nPrepare engineering calculations, cost estimates, technical reports, and design documentation\nReview contractor submittals, design documents, and construction plans for compliance with project requirements\nAssist with evaluating existing facilities and developing recommendations for repairs, renovations, upgrades, and modernization\nRequired Qualifications and Skills:\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering\nExperience developing or reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports\nFamiliarity with civil/site design principles, including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site development\nExperience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments\nMinimum GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required) for candidates with less than 2 years of professional experience\nMust currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance \nMust be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations\nPreferred Qualifications and Skills:\n2+ years of civil engineering experience in facility, site, infrastructure, or building-related projects\nExperience supporting federal, military, or DoD facility projects\nProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure\nExperience with federal design standards, UFCs, UFGS, or other DoD
