Indian Head, Maryland, is approximately 30 miles from Washington, D.C., 25 miles from Alexandria, Virginia, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia\nJob Description:\nPlan and execute commissioning activities for building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure\nReview design documents, technical specifications, equipment submittals, and installation requirements to support commissioning efforts\nDevelop and execute commissioning plans, functional performance tests, and system verification procedures\nVerify that installed systems operate in accordance with design intent, applicable codes, standards, and project requirements\nPrepare commissioning reports, test documentation, deficiency logs, and final turnover packages\nSupport system startup, testing, acceptance, and handover to facility operations and maintenance personnel\nMonitor progress against commissioning schedules and communicate project status, risks, and outstanding issues\nRequired Qualifications and Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field\nMinimum 5 years providing building commissioning and/or construction QA/QC field services\nExperience commissioning mechanical, electrical, HVAC, controls, or other building and facility systems\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and system documentation\nKnowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) or Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities\nMust currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance\nMust be a U.S. citizen, as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations\nPreferred Qualifications and Skills:\nNETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning specific education courses\nPE Preferred.
