Indian Head is the Navy’s leading facility for ordnance, energetics, and explosive ordnance disposal solutions.\nThis full-time position is at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. Indian Head, Maryland, is approximately 30 miles from Washington, D.C., 25 miles from Alexandria, Virginia, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia\nJob Description:\nEvaluate a wide range of contract work pertaining to energetic manufacturing facilities and operations (e.g., janitorial, pest control, building system preventative maintenance, grounds, refuse, above ground storage tanks) against performance standards \nDevelop performance criteria to evaluate contractor work performance \nPerform regular site visits and inspect contractor work for compliance with applicable plans, specifications, and performance criteria \nIdentify problems in contractor performance and provide written recommendations for corrective action \nMonitor and track corrective action implementation and sustainment \nPrepare cost estimates related to facility service and operation \nConduct follow-up assessments to ensure deficiency corrections have been applied \nQualifications and Skills:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required \nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or related field is a plus \nMinimum of 5 years experience within mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) industry \nAdditional relevant technical experience such as working in manufacturing facilities \nPrior experience working at a DoD facility is a plus \nStrong organizational and time management skills \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team \nMust currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance \nMust be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations \nThis position will require a pre-employment physical exam \nThis position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds \nWork may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals) \nYou may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs \nMust be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach during shifts \nMust be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items \nMust be able to safely climb and descend ladders, stairways, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms and perform work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet \nMust be able to perform work above shoulder level, including reaching, lifting, and manipulating tools and materials overhead \nEmployees must maintain the ability to safely perform these essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, as a condition of employment.
