research apparatus.\nJob Description:\nInstall, bend, and thread electrical conduit, including electrical metallic tubing (EMT) and rigid conduit\nPull, route, and terminate conductors in disconnects, panelboards, control panels, motor starters, and other electrical equipment\nInstall, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and maintain electric motors and motor-control equipment, including manual starters, push buttons, relays, control transformers, magnetic starters, and variable-frequency drives (VFDs)\nWork with low-voltage signal and control circuits, as well as power circuits up to 480 volts, including single-phase and three-phase systems\nWire control panels in accordance with applicable Underwriters Laboratories (UL) specifications and standards\nRead and interpret equipment manuals and operate various types of equipment required to support research activities\nMaintain accurate inventories of materials, tools, and hardware\nAssist with general shop and technician duties as needed\nComplete Shop Services Request forms accurately and promptly\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas\nWork safely and actively participate in all applicable safety programs\nQualifications and Skills:\nA minimum of five to seven years of industrial electrical experience, including plant maintenance, control-panel wiring, and instrumentation, with comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)\nAn associate degree, trade school education, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate services for multiple clients and maintain project schedules\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word\nAbility to read, understand, and interpret equipment operating manuals and procedures\nAbility to understand and follow instructions presented in written, oral, schematic, or diagrammatic form\nAbility to work independently and
