In this role, you will support the design, deployment, optimization, and performance management of indoor wireless networks across a variety of environments, including stadiums, hospitals, warehouses, factories, business offices, and transportation hubs. You will work with LTE and 5G NR technologies, Ericsson RAN products, and industry-standard RF engineering tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams and serving as a technical resource for customers. This is a US-based position with up to 20% domestic travel.\n\nWhat you will do\nDesign indoor wireless solutions for stadiums, hospitals, warehouses, business offices, factories, and enterprise settings\nUse iBwave to build and maintain detailed 3D venue models, including product placement, cable routing, and baseband dimensioning\nLead LTE and 5G NR RF design activities to ensure optimal coverage, capacity, and performance\nDesign Ericsson Radio Dot System (RDS), Passive DAS, and other in-building wireless solutions using Ericsson RAN products\nConduct site surveys and evaluate construction requirements to support deployment planning\nPerform RF analysis to address sectorization, interference mitigation, SINR optimization, and macro-to-indoor interaction challenges\nLead real-time optimization for indoor venues, special events, small cells, and Cell-on-Wheels (COW) solutions\nAnalyze walk test data, network KPIs, and performance metrics to identify coverage, capacity, and quality issues\nTroubleshoot complex RF performance issues through root cause analysis and corrective action planning\nServe as a primary customer point of contact and deliver post-optimization reports and recommendations\nCoordinate and support remote engineering teams to ensure successful project execution\n\nThe skills you bring\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus\n3-5 years of RF engineering experience\nAdvanced proficiency with iBwave for indoor wireless design and modeling\nStrong knowledge of LTE and 5G NR technologies, including NSA and SA architectures\nExperience with Ericsson RAN products, EPP, TEMS, ENM, Baseband, Radios, and LPRU\nFamiliarity with Active DAS, Passive DAS, RDS, small cells, and distributed antenna systems\nUnderstanding of RF propagation, link budget analysis, SINR optimization, and network KPI analysis\nExperience with 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, CBRS, LAA, and IoT solutions\nClear communication skills with experience in customer-facing or consulting environments\nAbility to manage technical projects, balance multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams\nAI is becoming core to how we build and deliver at Ericsson.
