The role focuses on Linux platform development, kernel maintenance, Yocto-based build systems, device driver development, and platform enablement for advanced networking and embedded systems products.\nThe ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Linux kernel internals, hardware-software integration, open-source software maintenance, and embedded platform debugging across ARM64 and x86_64 architectures.\nWhat you will do\nRegularly upgrade open-source software packages via the Yocto project to address security vulnerabilities and patches.\nRegularly upgrade Linux kernel versions to meet product security requirements.\nDevelop and maintain device drivers for hardware peripherals, including PCIe, USB, eMMC, Ethernet, GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, and custom FPGAs/ASICs.\nDesign and maintain Device Tree (DTS/DTB) descriptions to accurately represent hardware platform configurations.\nSelect and maintain appropriate kernel configurations for target products.\nIntegrate and maintain third-party kernel patches and vendor-provided kernel modules.\nOptimize system performance and latency to meet product requirements.\nInvestigate, diagnose, and resolve system and platform issues arising during open-source software and Linux kernel upgrades.\nWhat you will bring\nRequired Experience - 4 to 7 years\nJob Location - Bangalore\nInterview Mode - In-Person\nProgramming language - C / C++\nSolid understanding of the Yocto/BitBake build system\nSolid understanding of ARM64 and x86_64 CPU architectures\nSolid understanding of hardware buses and protocols, including PCIe, eMMC, NAND Flash, Ethernet, GPIO, I2C, SPI, and USB\nSolid understanding of Device Tree (DTS/DTB) descriptions for hardware platforms\nSolid understanding of the Linux OS boot procedure\nSolid understanding of the Linux driver model, memory management, and task scheduling.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field.
