Our work spans radio communication, signal processing, system studies, software simulation, 3GPP standardization, baseband architecture, and real customer networks.\nWe are looking for the Entry Level: System Developer to join our team and work on the technologies behind the next generation of mobile communication. You will combine technical analysis and software simulation with system-level thinking, standards work, and collaboration across development teams. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to AI/ML-related developments and AI-assisted engineering, as these technologies become increasingly relevant to future radio systems and development workflows.\nWhat you will do:\nPerform system studies in the Radio Physical Layer for radio functions such as Beamforming, Massive MIMO, and emerging 6G technologies\nSpecify new 5G/6G system features and functions, including requirements, test cases, algorithms, use cases, parameter settings, and interactions with existing functionality\nDevelop and use software simulations, primarily link-level, to analyse and optimise the performance of 5G/6G features and signal-processing algorithms\nContribute to the evolution of 5G/6G standards, including analysing relevant specifications and maintaining our Statement of Compliance\nContribute to innovation and Ericsson IPR, including invention disclosures and patents\nSupport the deployment of new 5G/6G products and features into customer networks through network analysis, troubleshooting, and investigation of customer configurations and issues\nWork closely with cross-functional development teams, locally and globally, on new features, simulations, and improvements.\nExplore opportunities to apply AI/ML in radio systems, as well as AI-assisted tools for simulation, development, analysis, and engineering workflows.\nThe skills you bring:\nMSc or PhD in a relevant field such as Wireless Communications, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Mathematics, or a related area\nStrong background in communication theory, digital signal processing, and mathematics\nStrong knowledge of LTE, NR/5G, and 3GPP specifications, particularly in the Physical Layer\nExperience with software development for link-level simulations, using languages such as Python, C, and C++\nExperience developing and analyzing software simulations; knowledge of simulation environments and tools such as MATLAB is an advantage\nAn analytical and result-oriented mindset, with the ability to investigate complex problems and deliver under pressure\nAbility to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines while working across different projects\nStrong English communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to explain technical topics and build effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders\nA motivated, proactive, and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently when needed and contribute effectively as part of a team\nInterest in AI/ML and AI-assisted engineering is a plus, but strong wireless communication and signal-processing fundamentals are the foundation for the role\nWhy join Ericsson?
