Students, Ericsson innovators, and external partners exchange ideas, build prototypes, and explore communications, robotics, AI, and other emerging technologies in a flexible, hands-on environment.\nAs an intern, you will work alongside students, Ericsson innovators, and external partners to turn early ideas into prototypes, proofs of concept, and demonstrations. The hub operates in an agile, startup-inspired environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute, share knowledge, learn, and succeed.\nThis is a fully in-person, part-time internship of approximately 15 hours per week during the academic year, from February to May and September to December. There may be an opportunity to continue as a summer job of up to 40 hours per week from June to August, subject to business needs and mutual agreement.\nInternship is based at Ericsson Kista, Stockholm. Starting date: immediate. End date: August 2027 or later.\nWhat you will do:\nContribute to innovation projects and demonstration events.\nDevelop proofs of concept, mockups, minimum viable products, and demonstration objects.\nExplore emerging technologies and investigate opportunities beyond current product boundaries.\nCollaborate with students, Ericsson innovators, external partners, and academia.\nShare knowledge, give and receive feedback, and help turn ideas into working concepts.\nExample project areas include:\nIoT applications for smart cities, sustainability, and remote monitoring.\nAI and machine learning, automation, cloud computing, and networking.\nConnected devices using the hub’s private 5G network and network APIs.\nNew 5G use cases and Network Digital Twins.\nRobotics, including robot arms and other setups.\nAR, VR, and XR applications.\nIT security, front-end and back-end solutions, simulators, tools, and AI agents.\nThe skills you bring:\nYou are a Bachelor’s or Master’s student who has completed at least two years of study in a relevant technical or design discipline.\nYou have a hands-on maker mindset and are enthusiastic about experimenting, building, and learning.\nYou are interested in early-stage experiments, technology demonstrations, and startup-style environments.\nInterested in IoT and in connecting devices and systems that could benefit from connectivity.\nInterested in areas such as AI, automation, cloud computing, virtual reality, user-interface design, Linux, or networking.\nYou have, or are motivated to develop, hands-on experience with hardware platforms such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi, sensors, and related components.\nLearn quickly and build mockups and minimum viable products.\nPlease include a brief description of your interests, relevant projects, and availability in your application.\nWhy join Ericsson?
