Ericsson also does not hire F-1's working on CPT or EAD for this position.\nIntegration Engineer Intern\nLocation: Plano, TX\nDuration: 12 weeks\nStart Date: May 25, 2027\nAbout this opportunity:\nWe are now looking for an Integration Engineer Intern based in Plano, Texas, to support the analysis, preparation, implementation and verification of configuration and integration for nodes, networks and systems. You will gain hands-on experience across software integration, automation, AI/ML use cases and the design of agent-based solutions that improve engineering and operational workflows. Your scope of work may include new introductions, upgrades, expansions, functionality and capacity. Working with experienced engineers, you will contribute to solutions that support our customers while building a strong technical foundation.\nWhat you will do:\nSupport pre-sales activities, including pre-studies and translating requirements into integration approaches\nPlan and document product configuration, integration and migration work with guidance from experienced engineers\nImplement product configuration and integration activities across systems, APIs and data flows\nPrepare and execute module, system, integration and acceptance tests, including automated test cases where appropriate\nDevelop scripts and code, primarily in Python or a similar language, to support automation, data processing and integration\nExplore and prototype AI/ML and generative AI use cases relevant to network, system and software integration\nBuild and test AI agents that use tools, APIs and enterprise knowledge to assist with tasks such as troubleshooting, testing, analysis or workflow orchestration\nApply practical techniques such as prompt design, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent evaluation and safeguards/guardrails\nMeasure and improve the quality, reliability and usability of AI-enabled workflows\nIdentify and drive improvements, support post-project activities and develop an end-to-end technical understanding\nCollaborate with team members, document solutions and share knowledge\nThe skills you bring:\nCurrently enrolled in an accredited university bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Data Science or a related field\nFoundational programming experience in Python, Java, JavaScript or a similar language, plus an interest in APIs, Git and software automation\nFoundational understanding of AI/ML and large language models, with strong interest in building AI agents, tool calling, RAG and agent evaluation\nCoursework, academic projects or personal projects involving chatbots, AI assistants, automation, API integrations, cloud services or data pipelines are a plus\nAnalytical, learning and researching skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and break down complex problems\nInterest in software testing, quality engineering and delivering reliable results that meet customer expectations\nExcellent planning, organizing, communication and collaboration skills\nISEB/ISTQB software testing qualifications or equivalent experience would be an advantage\nWhy join Ericsson?\nAt Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity.
