The team will work on how to prepare for the development of a powerful UE Simulator meeting the needs of 5G. The Simulation Services (SIMS) unit is responsible for providing Simulators to product development within Business Area Networks. These Simulators are used in product verification instead of real mobile phones and real core networks.\nWhat you will do\nBe part of an agile team that contributes to development of a UE Simulator.\nTake part in configuring and testing our Simulators on the underlying hardware, making sure they behave correctly and reliably.\nWork in an exciting technical area, supporting Ericsson internal users with an important product for 5G.\nGet the opportunity to work with everything needed in a team: analysis, system design, pre-development and implementation in small increments, ensuring short feedback loops.\nYou will bring\nSoftware engineering skills with the ability to write high-quality code (must have: Python; nice to have: C/C++ and Java)\nFamiliarity with the standards and protocols used in LTE or 5G networks.\nKnowledge of RF propagation, modulation schemes and signal processing.\nKnowledge of embedded systems and how software interacts with hardware components, ideally with hands-on experience configuring and testing software on hardware.\nKnowledge of multi-core / multithreading processor programming and parallel processing, to simulate multiple data link connections efficiently.\nCompetence in Linux\nReadiness to explore new opportunities, and to continuously learn and improve together with the team, with a genuine enjoyment of coding.\nMSc or BSc level in Telecommunications, Electronics or Computer Science\nExcellent speaking and writing skills in English.\nNice to have\nGiven our current Platform Engineering activities, including an ongoing migration to GitLab, a more DevOps-oriented profile is a strong plus.\nExperience with the following will be valued:\nHands-on experience designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nSolid knowledge of Git and GitLab, ideally in a CI/CD context.\nExperience with Jenkins or another CI/CD pipeline orchestrator.\nFamiliarity with event-driven CI/CD architectures.\nWe work in a hybrid model, minimum 3 days from the office.\nWhat we offer\nAnnual bonus depending on the achievement of the company's goals and results.\nPossibility to take advantage of the reduction of tax-deductible costs for creative work.\nFinancial awards and distinctions.\nPrivate medical care for the employee and their family (Medicover).\nLife insurance.\nMental Help Line.\nCafeteria system on the Pluxee platform: co-financing of MultiSport or OK System card, lunch cards, and others.\nSports and integration activities (e.g. football, yoga, sailing team, climbing club).\nCompany support (loans and grants).\nPossibility to participate in 3G / 4G / 5G / 6G technology projects.\nOpportunity to participate in technical and interpersonal training conducted by international trainers.\nAccess to recognized learning platforms (Pluralsight, Skillsoft, Coursera).\nOpportunity to work in an international environment, also outside Poland.\nWhy join Ericsson?
