As a Junior Software Engineer, you will work alongside experienced developers and technical experts to learn how advanced wireless communication systems are designed, implemented, tested, and optimized.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and excited about solving challenging technical problems in a collaborative environment.\nWhat you will do\nDevelop and maintain software in Ericsson's Cloud RAN Layer 1 platform.\nUse AI-assisted engineering workflows to support activities such as developing code, test creation, debugging, documentation, and code review.\nWork with modern C++ and performance-critical software components.\nLearn how 5G/6G radio systems and physical layer processing work.\nParticipate in feature development, debugging, testing, code reviews, and continuous integration activities.\nCollaborate with software developers, architects, system engineers, and testers across global teams.\nContribute to software quality, test coverage, maintainability, and continuous improvement.\nExplore and contribute to AI/ML-enabled features that may be implemented in the product, including prototyping, integration, testing, and evaluation together with experienced engineers.\nGrow your technical skills through mentorship, feedback, and hands-on experience. \nThe skills you bring\nProgramming experience in C/C++, Python, Julia.\nFoundational understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.\nPractical experience using Python for data processing, experimentation, or machine learning through university coursework, thesis work, or personal projects.\nExperience with Linux development environments, Git, unit testing, CI/CD, or cloud-native technologies.\nBasic understanding of 5G, mobile networks, physical layer processing, or 3GPP concepts.\nAbility to use AI-assisted development tools critically and responsibly.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nInterest in software engineering, high-performance systems, and telecommunications.\nGood communication skills in English.\nCuriosity, collaboration, ownership, and a strong willingness to learn. \nYou do not need previous professional telecom or Layer 1 experience.
