While these tools can improve software-development productivity, the energy efficiency of the software they create is becoming increasingly important for sustainable production systems.\nWhat you will do:\nThis thesis will investigate how coding agents can be integrated with energy analysis, profiling, etc. tools in its pipeline, including design, implementing, and evaluation. The expected result is a prototype and experimental evaluation of an energy-aware GenAI-assisted software-development workflow. The outcome may include:\na methodology for evaluating the greenness of GenAI-generated applications;\nan architecture for integrating energy feedback with coding agents;\ntechniques for whole-application optimization;\na benchmark and experimental results; and\nrecommendations for energy-aware agentic software development.\nThe skills you bring:\nbackground in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.\nGood programming skills in Python or another modern programming language.\nFamiliarity with Linux-based development environments and command-line tools.\nInterest and experience in generative AI, large language models, and AI-assisted software development.\nAbility to conduct technical literature reviews, design experiments, analyze results, and document findings.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while communicating effectively in an international working environment.\nGood written and spoken English.\nWhy join Ericsson?
