We are looking for a Network automation engineer IP-infra to strengthen our team in Maastricht. In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle of IP network solutions: from design and lab validation to integration, implementation, and final acceptance. You will join a skilled team of telecom and IT professionals, work with modern technologies, and help deliver reliable, high-impact network solutions for our customers.\nWhat you will do?\nAs a Network Automation Engineer IP-INFRA, you will:\nDesign, implement, and maintain and automat network solutions within IP infrastructure environments.\nTranslate high-level and low-level designs into robust implementation plans and technical configurations.\nDevelop and maintain network automation frameworks using Python, Ansible, and modern API-driven technologies.\nBuild, configure, and maintain lab environments for testing, validation, and proof-of-concept activities.\nExecute network changes in compliance with change management and operational excellence practices.\nAnalyze network performance, conduct capacity planning, and identify opportunities for optimization.\nSupport deployment and operations teams with advanced technical expertise and troubleshooting.\nLead technical discussions with customers and provide guidance on architecture, automation strategies, and technology choices.\nDevelop technical documentation, solution designs, presentations, and customer proposals.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.\nWhat We Are Looking For?\n\nYou recognize yourself in the following profile:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related technical field.\nRelevant Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCDP, DevNet, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain them.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in IP networking, infrastructure engineering, or network automation.\nProven experience developing automation solutions using Python and Ansible.\nExperience working with automation frameworks, APIs, and modern DevOps methodologies.\nStrong hands-on experience with network design, implementation, migration, and operational support.\nExperience working in complex Service Provider, Enterprise, or Data Center environments.\nStrong analytical mindset with a structured and detail-oriented approach to solving complex problems.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nFluency in English.\nDutch language skills are considered a strong advantage.\nWhat we offer?\nA technology-driven international organization with a strong focus on innovation\nAccess to training, courses, and opportunities to obtain certifications, including Cisco certifications\nFlexible working hours and a hybrid way of working between home and the office\nInternational career opportunities\nProfessional expert groups and communities\nA diverse and inclusive workplace where different perspectives are valued and everyone is encouraged to contribute.\nWhy join Ericsson?
