This role bridges telecom core network expertise with deep knowledge of cloud platforms, ensuring resilient, scalable, and high-performing environments for 4G/5G services.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign and manage cloud infrastructure supporting Packet Core (EPC, 5G NSA & 5GC)\nDeploy and support virtualized (VNF) and cloud-native (CNF) network functions\nManage cloud platforms (OpenStack, Kubernetes) for telecom workloads\nOversee infrastructure lifecycle: installation, upgrades, patching, and scaling\nEnsure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery (DR) readiness\nPerform capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization\nLead complex troubleshooting across network, compute, storage, and virtualization layers\nDrive automation and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code)\nEnsure compliance with security policies, hardening, and best practices\nWork closely with vendors, RAN, transport, and IT teams\nParticipate in incident management, RCA, and escalation handling\nThe skills you bring:\nPacket Core Knowledge\nSolid understanding of 2G/3G/4G EPC and 5G Core architectures\nFamiliarity with call flows, signaling, and interfaces\nProtocol knowledge: GTP, Diameter, SCTP, PFCP, HTTP/2\nCloud Infrastructure Expertise\nHands-on experience with:\nOpenStack (preferred for telecom cloud)\nStrong understanding of:\nCompute, storage, and networking in cloud environments\nVirtualization and container orchestration\nOperations\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills\nAbility to operate in 24/7 critical environments\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field\n6-10+ years of experience in telecom core networks and cloud infrastructure\nCertifications (preferred):\nKubernetes (CKA/CKAD)\nOpenStack / VMware certifications\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with Ericsson telco cloud platforms\nExposure to 5G NSA & 5G SA deployments\nKnowledge of network slicing and edge/cloud-native architectures\nFamiliarity with security, hardening, and compliance frameworks\nExperience in large-scale production environments\nKey Attributes\nStrong ownership and accountability\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills\nEffective communication and stakeholder management\nAbility to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams\nWhy join Ericsson?
